All the top 4 teams have been playing down their chances, but realistically they now all have a chance. Spurs have lost 5 out of 7 post-Thurs Europa League matches...#poisoned chalice Sherwood is learning as he goes along so will make iffy decisions. I think he's just a stop gap until you get a more experienced manager this summer, e.g. LVG post- World Cup. Agree about Erickson, Sherwood should be selecting his team around him... http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/feb/23/norwich-city-tottenham-hotspur-tactics Hughton has once again shown great humility in the face of unwarranted criticism, this time when he was put under uneccessary pressure from his own CEO last week, perhaps the CEO should resign if Norwich stay up...

You do realise that the master plan was to survive by a gnat's breath so BFS would still get the Spanish fiddle. Carry on like this and he'll get a new 5 year contract... ;-)

I know Villa have a lion on their club crest, but I've never heard Lions being used in terms of supporters groups etc. I thought you were all a bunch of Villans... ;-)

England as a whole have been rubbish, Gerrard has hardly done himself justice in an England shirt either, does that make him a rubbish player too? As for whether he's 'world class' or not, that's subjective and pointless to argue. He's certainly no Ronaldo or Messi, but IMO he's up there with the Robbens and Riberys of this world... Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You know with him that if he isn't > fit he doesn't have the natural talent to allow > him to get by. Rooney has bags of natural talent, what he doesn't have is natural athleticism... I'm talking about him being an unproven Premier League player. Past reputations in foreign leagues count for nothing, it's reeks of arrogance to think otherwise. Anyway, stats can be misleading. Swansea have some of the best possession/passing/accuracy stats in the League. Shall we start labelling them world class? No, because what the stats don't tell you is that most of those passes are sideways in midfield. As for paying Rooney ?300k a week, hardly an act of desperation when it would actually cost the club more to replace him like for like. Instead we've got a proven Premier Leagur player, a proven match winner, a proven trophy winner, and someone who doesn't throw a mental wobbly when he misses a penalty. Things will have changed when we go 9 years without winning nothing, not 9 months...

Nah, it's all down to Mesut, bless him...

Ozil is no dud, but describing him as world class is also pushing it. He undoubtedly has talent, but up to now he hasn't regularly shown it, and certainly can't take a game by the scruff of the neck and stamp his authority on it, like gamechangers Ronaldo and Messi regularly do. He's also got a mental flakiness, often goes missing in the big games. TJ is right when he said he went AWOL after missing the pen against Bayern. It's moments like that, that so called world class players step up to the plate and come into their own. Instead, according to Wenger, he's still not got over it. Poor thing. Honours wise he's a perpetual runner-up, and I've seen nothing to change that. I was castigated in certain quarters for saying early season that Ozil was unproven in the Premier League. So far I believe I've been proved right...

It might already have. Kompany's post-mach interview was a bit off-kilter too. Like Roy Keane said...I'm not sure he knows what he's talking about.
