  3. Morrison going to Fulham is a strange one, a step down in terms of size of club, both clubs in a relegation battle, and I would be surprised if Fulham pay more than WHU...answers on a postcard please
  4. I know ratty might afford himself a wry smile, but I'd hate to wake up a Saints fan this morning, looking like there could be a firesale, even the 'ammers are getting stuck in... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2540136/EXCLUSIVE-West-Ham-talks-sign-Southampton-striker-Lambert.html

  9. I'm upper mid-table - like my team. Come to think of it, last season I was top and so were Utd...it's all my fault!!!
  10. Week 18 points... Week 18 table...
  11. No one is being defeatist Mick, I still hope that we get into the CL. Notice I use the word hope, not expect...now that would be pompous.
  12. What Meds said. In our current situation I just think the club would benefit long term if we don't end up in the Europa League next season. I think it's been a negative distraction to teams in the past, e.g. having to play games Thurs/Sun, so if we can't get into the CL I would prefer it if we just concentrated on the PL next season and the task of rebuilding...
  13. I wish it was. Happy to finish 6th or lower if it's means missing out on Thurs/Sun matches... #poisoned chalice
  14. It's true we don't 'live' within the City of Manchester boundary, but we were 'born' within it in Newton Heath and later moved. You moved to Leicester, now London, does that mean you're not a Manc anymore? Can't have it both ways. Anyways, I'm unsubscribing, it's very boring for the others...

  18. Indeed Mick, type in Glasgow and nothing shows for either Celtic or Rangers, it's as if no one cares...
  19. Do Sheff Wed still have their drummer? Heard it a few seasons ago when QPR played them...You only drum when you're winning...

Pardew's record is only 3 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses, even Moyes' record is slightly better with 4 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses. Semantics really, as Pellegrini should get it with 6 wins and a draw. I'd give special mention to Pullis, 3 wins out of 6 for the then bottom club is good going...
  24. Back to the League, week 18 fixtures... Saturday 11th January 2014 Hull V Chelsea Cardiff V West Ham Everton V Norwich Fulham V Sunderland Southampton V West Brom Tottenham V Crystal Palace Man Utd V Swansea Sunday 12th January 2014 Newcastle V Man City Stoke V Liverpool Monday 13th January 2014 Aston Villa V Arsenal

Part of the reality is that WHU have suffered big time with injuries, in particular the centre half dept (I can think of 3) IMO it's the most important position on the park, even City have struggled when Kompany has been out. Maybe the Board think these are mitigating circumstances to at least wait until some of the injured players come back and see if that makes a difference...
