As a Gooner Atila I 8-2 say this but you're the last person who should gloat... past experience tells us your Mr Nice personna eventually slips and the real obnoxious git eventually surfaces, so remember to watch your P's and Q's, don't want to get yourself banned...again

Someone please tell me that didn't happen...pretty please? Have to say Citeh, and Silva in particular, were pure class and fully deserved their day in the sun. I was very surprised Fergie didn't use Jones to man mark Silva out of the game, especially since he used that tactic against Charlie Adam last week...and Adam is no Silva. Going down to 10 men was obviously a big turning point, but we didn't help ourselves with some suicidal defending afterwards. I don't think Evans will ever recover from this, his confidence has always been wafer thin. Defensively we have been suspect recently, Liverpool and Chelsea created lots of chances. Vidic can't come back soon enough. I agree about Cleverley's early season influence being missed, but a club like Utd shouldn't have to rely on a 21yo rookie. I still think the title is there to be won, and we have actually started better than previosu seasons, so I'm still optimistic, since we traditionally get better as the season progresses. Citeh are in unknown territory, and no one knows how they will react to the pressure and expectation of being top and now favourites to win the league...should be an interesting next few months. If we end up as Champions this will eventaully be forgotten, but for now I'm just glad I don't live in Manchester anymore...

maxxi, you're a genius!...I'm thinking green bins, I'm thinking brown bins, but more importantly I'm thinking blue bins...for the promos you might have to up the blue on the Welsh Slate Grey, but that's nothing that a bit of Photoshop can't sort out...just needs a catchy range name, how about streetscape, with the hook line a bin is for life, just ask *Bob*...the good burghers of Southwark will forever be in our debt.

Planning permission - how??? Neighbour from hell
red devil replied to Mabel2001's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I get the impression that the OP is assuming Planning Permision has beeen granted. As Peter suggests a quick check on the Southwark Planning website can confirm this either way. PP aside, what needs to be ascertained is who actually owns the freehold for the property as a whole...the flats could be share of freehold, leasehold etc (it may turn out the Council is the freeholder)...and find out who is legally responsible for the upkeep of the communal front garden. I think the OP's landlady should be taking up this issue as she is the owner of one of the flats, and might have some shared responsibility of this communal space, find out who is responsible/culpable, and then the OP should seek compensation from that person(s)once identified. -
I am PD, but not tonight. It was certainly a strange negative performance by OM in the 2nd half, and for showing more initiative Arsenal fully deserved their win. They should now go on to qualify quite comfortably, but I wouldn't bet on that either ;-)
-
Tricky game for the Gooners tonight, should be a fiery atmosphere in the Stade Velodrome, 2-1 to OM...

What Otta said... I work in design and there used to be a lot of one-upmanship when it came to CVs. The ponciest one I heard about was someone who printed their CV to look like a wine label and and then stuck it on a bottle of vino, which would then be given to any prospective employer...

I think you can buy tickets directly from season ticket holders through a ticket exchange website, got this one from a random google search... viagogo

I'm not sure, I was just wondering that if they were locked, would they then be construed as bedsits, and the house is then seen as a HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy), which is governed by strict legislation, particulary means of escape. Might be worth checking with the local council or maybe your son's University. In my day the Uni had a list of approved accommodation which the Uni vetted, so they were familiar with the current rules/regs. Wherever we live, we should familiarise ourselves with what we would do in a panic situation such as a fire.
