The OP asked whether graffiti was 'a pathetic attempt at visibility', I think it goes a lot deeper than society's lazy view that all it amounts to is wanton vandalism. Why does it have to be 'a good/bad thing', can it not just 'be'?..

In theory Chair is right, you can have a serious discussion about any subject. But I would've thought it rests with the OP to decide whether they want their thread to be discussed as a serious topic in The Drawing Room or more lightheartedly in The Lounge. Quids is right, Keef's guitar thread has every right to be in here, believe me there are some serious musos out there who are more than capable of getting all philosophical about the merits of owning a Les Paul. On the other hand, if Keef sticks in the Lounge he can't have any complaints if someone then flippantly posts a picture of George Formby with his ukelele under the caption 'turned out nice again - Fenders are for benders!'. When I first popped into the Drawing Room I saw the 'Is there a God' thread, sighed, and hightailed in out of here. But I'm sure over time it will settle down and find it's raison d'etre...
