Let's not forget in the past he was still given top jobs because of his excellent record of winning trophies. I'm not so sure one of the big clubs would take that risk now after such a spectacular collapse and all he tother aggro like Doctorgate. He's made Moyes look like a genius...

Nooooooo! Thankfully he's too toxic right now, but if Pep and Ancelotti end up at City and Bayern, the cupboard of potential new managers is looking bare...
  3. LVG, I'll drive him there myself...
  4. Blackbird's mince pies are the crack cocaine of the mince pie world. I scored my first hit a week ago, already I'm up to 2 a day. Don't be like me...just say no
  5. Cup of Tea...Number 3
  6. Someone should start up Troll Bingo. I'm guessing One Little Duck, number 2...Bob Buzzard

  9. LadyG has finally woken from her slumber. Ots is still fast asleep, probably in the pub with Jah...while Grok watches. Week 16 points... Week 16 table...

  11. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Typical Tottenham! Just when you think we're doing > alright we go and screw things up. It's the hope > that kills you. Fergie always said that young players were inconsistent. They also haven't learnt game management, how to play out a game from a winning position. Arsenal on the other appear to be doing just that, another slick, professional performance...
  12. Looking at some of the pics, Klopp was in danger of spontaneously combusting...

  14. > Man United's goalscorer today was taken off > because..........LVG saw a 2-1 defeat as an improvement on the last time we played and lost at Bournemouth in 1984, that day we didn't score a goal. Tick tock Louis, tick tock... and/or... > Man United's goalscorer today was taken off > because..........it would distract from the news that Chicarito scored a hat trick and Wilson netted again. Tick tock Louis, tick tock... I could do this all day :)
  15. Sorry, a bit late this week. Week 16 fixtures... Saturday 12th December 2015 Norwich v Everton Crystal Palace v Southampton Man City v Swansea Sunderland v Watford West Ham v Stoke Bournemouth v Man Utd Sunday 13th December 2015 Aston Villa v Arsenal Liverpool v West Brom Tottenham v Newcastle Monday 14th December 2015 Leicester v Chelsea
  16. Manchester Evening News reporting that Ryan Giggs would be open to leaving Utd for Swansea job. From a Utd perspective it makes sense to me for several reasons... He can't be enjoying how LVG sets up Utd. His lack of comments speaks volumes. With his close ties to Neville and Scholes through Salford, their criticism of LVG must be awkward for him. Lining him up as Utd's next manager is a massive risk without any managerial experience...

    ELO

    OHNO!...
  18. I dunno, I think it's easy to cherry pick from history to make a point. Scholes is right, the current team is average. Despite failing in Europe in those examples Barclay cites, you couldn't say those teams was average. Utd won the CL in 2008, and made the final in '09 and '11, losing only to one of the best ever club sides. The current team is light years away from Barca now. You also have to remember that Fergie's hands were tied in the transfer market at the time, so when we sold Ronaldo for ?80m, we ended up buying Valencia for ?16m because there was ''no value in the market''. LVG has had no such constraints. As well as average, LVG has turned Utd into a joyless, souless team, something you could never level at a Fergie side, win or lose. For me, his constant use of 2 defensive minded holding midfield players, is the crux of the problem. This system which he's used all season tells me he's more concerned with not conceding than scoring goals. Perhaps he doesn't trust the defence. I don't think there's any coincidence that the best spell of football we've played under LVG, was last season when he was forced to play 4-3-3, with only Carrick in the DM position, using Herrera's energy to drive the team forward. For some reason he's culled the club of most of the attack minded players. He's either sold or loaned out at least 8 and only bought in two, Depay and Martial, both very young and inexperienced at this level. You only had to look at the Utd bench for the Wolfsberg game to see the paucity of attack minded players we have at the club. To me it's careless and a dereliction of duty to have let so many players go and not replace them. If he continues in a similar vein until the end of the season then I expect he will go then. He's got time and a transfer window to address these issues, but I'm not holding my breath, he's not known as the Iron Tulip for nothing...
  19. I can't believe Gus Poyet is one of the favs for the Swansea job. Great performance by Arsenal and Giroud last night...
  20. The old Louisa is dead, I've promised myself and a few others to not steer back into previous conversational favourites of mine, and as yet have not done so. Then someone tries to push my buttons to get me to talk about a topic I have tried to leave behind me. So rather than rise to that, I am back with a completely different take on local issues. I refuse to be drawn on Iceland, class or parents with a buggy. From now on, I want to be taken seriously, any drinks events on the horizon? I refuse to be trolled back into previous topics. Fail...
  21. Salsaboy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What's wrong with just setting up the programmer > so that it is on when you get home? A lot of people don't get home at a regular time due to work/traffic etc, so I get the advantage of switching it on as and when you're travelling home. The individual room temp though is what a bog standard thermostatic valve does. Two people for the best part of a day doesn't sound cheap, can anyone say what the cost is to install such a system?...
  22. Get with it Lou. Everybody knows that for a Christmas appeal to work, you need a visual to tug at the heartstrings of your intended target audience. A tear stained face of an orphaned child... A sad eyed face of a lost and abandoned puppy... Or in your case, a geriatric necking the Drambuie... http://maxcdn.fooyoh.com/files/attach/images/613/731/681/008/old_woman_drinking.JPG
  23. Good luck with that Foxy. I reckon since Moonster switched allegiances, she's put a hex on Swansea and Millwall are now flourishing...
  24. I'd concur with what you've been told Muley. It's not uncommon to remove the brick infill panels and replace with rockwool and then plasterboard over and skim, especially if you want to run new cables/pipes in the wall...
  25. Yep, not a great week all round. Week 15 points... Week 15 table...
