  1. I'll have my 1.5 year old daughter with me. This sounds wonderful!
  2. Wonderful! Thanks I am a bit rusty but I can get you started! I'll dig up my needles and yarn this week!
  3. I would love to craft! My daughter is 17 months old and I crochet but would love to learn to knit (I have needles and the like). Without intending to divert this thread...any one know where I can get sewing thread in ED? I need to hem some pants by hand...
  4. We use a straw in a cup for milk, it has been the only successful way.
  5. I believe there is a family day at St Pauls Cathedral....somewhere around the 16th or so of December.
  6. AHHHH! I just knew I'd get an answer here. Thank you! We were out and about Ed today but no time to shop, I will pop in along shops/streets mentioned tomorrow. Thanks!
  7. I thought you all might be able to help me. I am looking for washi tape. Does anyone sell it in ED or around? ANyone have ideas about where to get it if it is not sold locally? thanks!
  8. I have not had it done and I need to, I am all black and grey and it is depressing. I know Queen Bee Styling on here does something to what you are looking for. def. following this thread....
  9. I am looking for an art specific class too!
  10. I've seen Timothy Spall at the Co-Op on Forest Hill Rd a few times. It was one of those..."I know that guy from somewhere" things
  11. hmmm...any chance you can Pm me the name of the salon? With all the humidity I need something done soon!
  12. I did one last year when they allowed formaldehyde and it was awesome, lasted 8 months! No need to blow dry at all. They have since regulated it so the actual working (yet unhealthy) chemical is now no longer in the formula. I can say that it does help me have straighter hair, but I do need to blow dry it each day unlike last time. Do I thin it is worth 200 quid? No. But if you can get a deal I would try it out. That said, it does depend on your hair and what you are looking for as an end result. I will not be getting it done again, I think the price is too steep for the results I get. I might try the straightening at home kits. If anyone knows any place that still uses the formula with formaldehyde though, let me know - I would gladly pay the price for the potential health risk (to the client and the others in the salon).
  13. I would be interested. Love your class, and yes, depends on the venue location...meaning how close to my home home, not necessarily the actual venue.
  14. We had the same issue when we came here from the states. We were able to pay lump sum up front for 3 months which then counted towards our monthly plan to get a phone. We have Vodaphone and went directly to one of their stores. Good luck!
  15. twinsmom - my husband and I are going to the game, would love to meet up!
  16. My Mom's in town next week but I'm around the week after. The belly rash turned out to be nothing, I am such a worry wart.
  17. I would love to finally join as well, though I will miss out on the 10th I will keep myself posted as to the next book and meeting time. Anna Karenina is one of my favorites!
  18. Bugger! My daughter has a belly rash and we have an apt for 12:10pm. Have fun, we love the museum! Next time.
  19. I'm free Wednesdays (my daughters naps are all over the place) anytime. I am by Peckham Rye Park ut don't mind a bit of travel. I went to the cafe last time but did not find any Americans hanging about. Hopefully I find you this time. :)
