I would love to craft! My daughter is 17 months old and I crochet but would love to learn to knit (I have needles and the like). Without intending to divert this thread...any one know where I can get sewing thread in ED? I need to hem some pants by hand... -
Refusing to drink milk from cups
JBoylen replied to Sunlover00's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We use a straw in a cup for milk, it has been the only successful way. -
I believe there is a family day at St Pauls Cathedral....somewhere around the 16th or so of December.

Famous People Seen in the Co-op
JBoylen replied to nowittyname's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I've seen Timothy Spall at the Co-Op on Forest Hill Rd a few times. It was one of those..."I know that guy from somewhere" things -
hmmm...any chance you can Pm me the name of the salon? With all the humidity I need something done soon!

I did one last year when they allowed formaldehyde and it was awesome, lasted 8 months! No need to blow dry at all. They have since regulated it so the actual working (yet unhealthy) chemical is now no longer in the formula. I can say that it does help me have straighter hair, but I do need to blow dry it each day unlike last time. Do I thin it is worth 200 quid? No. But if you can get a deal I would try it out. That said, it does depend on your hair and what you are looking for as an end result. I will not be getting it done again, I think the price is too steep for the results I get. I might try the straightening at home kits. If anyone knows any place that still uses the formula with formaldehyde though, let me know - I would gladly pay the price for the potential health risk (to the client and the others in the salon).

Saturday morning music group with Tippee Toes
JBoylen replied to Kimmy1080's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I would be interested. Love your class, and yes, depends on the venue location...meaning how close to my home home, not necessarily the actual venue. -
We had the same issue when we came here from the states. We were able to pay lump sum up front for 3 months which then counted towards our monthly plan to get a phone. We have Vodaphone and went directly to one of their stores. Good luck!

I'm free Wednesdays (my daughters naps are all over the place) anytime. I am by Peckham Rye Park ut don't mind a bit of travel. I went to the cafe last time but did not find any Americans hanging about. Hopefully I find you this time. :)
