We're in Brockley now and love it. Great green spaces, great mix of people and a brilliant Saturday Market. You can get lots of info on Brockley on Brockley Central. You just have to go and explore areas.

I can't help with an ergo but my friend has recommended the boba 3G to me. Sorry, that probably makes your decision harder.

Ive got a cold at the moment - living off hot honey, lemon, ginger and cloves. I'm definitely not having the flu vaccine, not had flu since I was 8ish and it's still very comin to get flu even if you've had the vaccine, there are just too many strains. I don't tend to take medication anyway so even if had flu not pregnant I wouldnt take anything. As for whooping cough, I keep going back and forward. As my husband us a teacher I'm starting to lean towards having it. The main age group that are getting it are 15yrs+. I was thinking of getting him to have vaccine but this won't protect baby. The vaccine doesn't stop you getting it, just reduces symptoms. How is everyone doing generally?

Ramble66 replied to prm's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Second Tommys in Peckham or there is a John lewis in Croydon. -
Found this. http://www.medicines.org.uk/emcmobile/File/PdfPil?fileName=PIL.17377.8.pdf&documentId=17377 Also looking at data the increase in cases in London have been the over 15yrs. There has been no increase in cases in the 0-3mths. Think that's me decided that the benefits don't outweigh the risks. Welcome Kmoon!

I'm not sure about the Vac. I'm generally a little suspicious of these things and will have to do some reading. It's a quadruple vaccine I think which I'm not happy about. Greeners - I'm trying to do without a coat, hoping nov/dec aren't too coat. At the moment I can still do my normal coat up. Do like the idea of parka I can wear whilst using a sling though. There is a lady selling a maternity coat in the classifieds. She sent me a pic, it's nice. Button up one. Looking forward to catch up. Other halves coming too? Re:yoga, I've heard great things about the kings sitaram yoga. I work sat am though. Planning on continuing my usual yoga as long as possible, ideally till due date but would like to do preg class too.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - Pls HELP ME!
Ramble66 replied to emma115's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Cate - it's riboflavin (B2) and I think b6 deficiency which can caused CTS. B vitamins should only be taken as a complex. Solgar is a good make. Probably start with B100, you could then reduce this after a month or do. And lots of dark leafy veg. If you are mainly getting symptoms at night then maybe try a wrist splint for a few weeks. Emma - how are you getting on? -
Great to see so many at the drinks on Wednesday. Shame we didn't get to meet everyone but I'm sure we will in time. Dainee, thanks so much for organising it. Greeners - sorry you didn't make it. Your physio's seem to have you on the right track but if you have any questions feel free to PM me. Remember ice not heat. Hope everyone else is doing well. Have people bought much yet?

I'm an Osteopath ;-) So slightly different perspective again. The exercises you mention sound good. NHS physio seems to be giving you good advice. It's difficult when your job requires bending/stooping. Exercise ball is a great idea. And squatting. Avoid asymmetrical squatting though, as in one knee higher than the other. I'll talk to you later or I'll pm you.

Greeners - cant reply fully now but will later. I'm sitting between them! Belts are only good as a short term temporary measure or last resort. I generally don't advise them. Deep massage I think does help but has to be accompanied by the right exercises. Exercises on your back such as pelvic lifts are fine at this stage if you feel fine. Yoga is great if done correctly. Which exercises do you have now. Ok seems like I did reply!
