  1. They do fight for money but they are on our side where as the the man from Guantanamo Bay was there to fight against us
  2. This government has lost it completely. They chartered a private jet at a cost of ?80,000 to bring a man from Guantanamo Bay who had gone to Afghanistan to fight against the British soldiers. But they won't let soldiers who fight for Britain live here.
  3. There is an open day at Nunhead Cemetery. Just in case.
  4. Was it you Hanaloochie I saw behind the till with your finger in your ear?
  5. last week I bought loads of blueberries, thinking that they were half price @ 1.49 Came to realise later after I had paid that the price label under the the stack of bluberries was for a different product. So please tell him to put price labels in appropriate place where the product is stacked
  6. Please teach their staff basic hygiene. I have seen: a member of staff sneeze in his hands and continue stacking apples. a check out staff sneeze in her hands and continue scanning foodstuff. a check out staff put a finger in her ear and violently shaking it and continue scanning foodstuff. a check out staff wipe her nose with the palm of her hand and continue scanning foodstuff. a check out staff with heavy cold was holding on to her used tissue while scanning foodstuff. often checkout staff scratch their heads Please ask the manager to make sure that the staff do not touch their nose, ears, head with their hands when handling food. Also will it be possible to keep the conveyor belts near the tills clean.
  7. Why would anyone want to have a hoiday home in a country with a fascist government?
  8. I remember coming out of the Co-Op pharmacy on LL at five minutes past four and went across the road to see all the cars in the parking bays had tickets on them including mine. There was no sign of the traffic warden and made me think how efficient they were to issue 4 to 5 tickets in such a short time. Next day I happen to be there at 4 pm and saw a traffic warden hiding round the corner taking down details of all the cars parked in that bay ready to stick the tickets on the windscreen all at once. That is unfair. I wish the council would be as enthusiastic & efficient in their other activities
  9. I know a group of guys who are fond of a small charity, financially supports its entire running costs. Similarly the punters, who like BC so much and wants to support it, should visit it more often and just pay double the amount on their bill. That way the BC will have extra income with same number of punters without building the extension and it can continue in business. And everyone lives happily ever after.
  10. Just because the produce is kept in wicker baskets and served in a trendy designer bag does not make it wholesome and good. I have had better tasting bread from a plastic bags.

French bread I have eaten are light with thin crust and delicious but never tough & leathery
  12. I bought a loaf of bread for ?2.50 outside the fishmongers on LL. I was given it in a brown, trendy, paper carrier bag Since it cost me twice what I am used to paying, I thought it would taste better than what I normally buy. The bread was hard, tough, chewy and tasted worse than the bread from the bakers opposite the library at half the price. Has anyone else bought the bread from them and liked it?
  13. > I didn't know we protest marches were banned?
  14. "I have always felt very strongly about people unfortunate enough to be living in countries where they aren't able to voice an opinion contrary to the government of the day. I NEVER dreamt that I would one day be living in such a country - welcome to England. Thanks Tony." You can voice your opinion on this board. What is it that you want say and are not allowed to say it by this government?
  15. "I bet they only approached you as you looked like a normal tax paying middle class citizen. They would never have approached you if you were in a group and looked a bit dodgy!" So true. Few weeks ago, a woman passnger on a train was issued with a penalty charge ticket which she paid up promptly but down the carriage a stockily built male just ignored the inspectors when asked to see his ticket. At the next stop he walked out of the carriage and was allowed to get away.
  16. are these guys really necessary in our area? Just one of the new "jobs" this government has created
