  1. Excellent idea and there is loads of lovely stuff on offer including limited edition cycling clothing, names on seats and even bikes. The lovely Phil has done an excellent stuff pulling this crowdfunding campaign together. Dig in for an xmas present that won't end up in the tip!
  2. whey! Dunstans Rd starting to get the odd trickle.

  5. walking past again the lights are on - in that curious halfway house between highlighter and brothel pink that is so prevalent in trendy Hoxton 'pop ups' could it be that Snog or its wannabe equivalent is on its way to ED?
  6. the old barbers shop on ed road is allegedly being turned into an ice cream shop. looks like oddenos isn't enough to feed the neighbourhood....
  7. Try ED tots for a comprehensive timetable of activities and things to do including prices and other arrangements. http://www.edtots.co.uk/
  8. At a loss with what to do with our newborns a few years back my friend Sarah and I heard about Hummy Mummies through a friend and have rediscovered our love for singing (hers from performance school, me from a lot of choral singing at an all girls' school) We have both returned to work since but have continued going to the Friday ED group immensely. I don't always make it due to a whole host of reasons and my new employers think I am bonkers for trying to negotiate a clause in my contract allowing me to leave early every Friday, but hey that just says how much I enjoy going.
  9. walked past today and there's a sign that says 'due to a major electrical fault it has been closed'. b*gger. never a fan of their food but really enjoyed having a drink there.
  10. All - sorry for the plug but a recommendation for our decorator if anyone is looking to give their house a new lick of paint. 12. Hi tess, re antenatal yoga - i go to the push studio (blackwater st, just behind william rose) 7pm Thursday session - it's not cheap at ?12 a pop but the classes are small and fits in with my work for now. you can also get a 10% disc by purchasing class tokens in advance. haven't tried any of the others but believe dulwich therapy rooms run them as well. good luck, cams
  13. Allo all, We are going with the NHS antenatal classes for now but have been told join NCT in the last weeks if you feel you haven't amassed enough 'friends'. NCT also run sessions on Goose Green for new mums and their tots (that are free I believe) during the week so aiming to drop by a couple of those as well when I have time off work. The main thing for us is not really the money side but time; we both still work pretty full on jobs so juggling two sets of classes seem a bit OTT past the 30 week mark but for those with the extra time I say go for it. Am already the size of a house and only halfway through - this is my first so can't even hold up the it's my second and my insides have given in card....crikey. Will find out next week what's really going on down there at the scan...
  14. Hello all, We should have a tacker arriving 7 Dec and have decided to go with Kings for now; so far so good though it's a huge teaching hospital so expect a lot of poking and prodding by aspiring medicos. A few of our friends have had kids there with no complaints so no real reason to switch for now. For those thinking of having theirs at Kings they no longer do mat ward tours but have made a 'tour' DVD which you can borrow from your midwife; it's not the same as the real thing but they are apparently too busy to accommodate non patients wandering through the ward. Stay in touch and hop to meet some/most all of you later on, C
