  1. We had water dripping though our kitchen ceiling this morning, rang Aria, as had seen recommendations on the forum, and he got to me within 2 hours as promised. He then organised someone to come and remove part of the ceiling asap to find the source of the leak and once located came back and fixed the problem - all within about 4 hours. Amazing service, fairly priced, and a job well done. So grateful. Have no hesitations in recommending.
  2. My son adored Mother Goose so I think whichever you choose/manage to get into you'll be fine.
  3. My son has been going for nearly two years, he will be leaving this summer to start school and he loves it. I love the family atmosphere, and that the staff are a mixture of ages ( not all young girls). PM me if you want to know more but I highly recommend it.
  4. Farmer barley beat me to it, l am that neighbour! I wanted to post to say that we went up and down the waiting list for a whole year but we finally got a phone call out of the blue just before the Autumn half term offering us a place. Although my child was settled and in year 1 she made the school move easily with no problems. Since then l know of other kids who have moved schools in year one. It can be a waiting game but if you keep on lists hopefully you will get the school of your choice. Good luck!
  5. Buchan Road music group is definitely on a TUESDAY, and as the previous post states, "it is most excellent", but very full so there's room for more this type of thing around Nunhead
  6. I took my 5 and 3 yr old to the London transport museum today at Covent Garden and they loved it.There is an indoor picnic area so you can take your own food. The adult ticket is valid for a year (all kids go free) and there's load to touch/climb on. But if you have the choice - don't go in the school holls, it was packed - but we still all had a great time!
  7. Me and my husband have been invited to a fancy dress party, no theme. We are now in a blind panic, what to go as?? Where to hire??? Any ideas, outfits to lend etc greatly appreciated. Obviously we don't get out much!!
  8. Hi, my 3rd old son goes there and both he and I are very happy with it. He didn't go as a baby so I can't comment on that, and he been to other nurseries (not locally) so I do have something to compare them to. Please PM me if you want to know more Debs
  9. Hi Astrid, I was referred by my GP to the Kings ACU, think the initial appointment came through quite quickly, had to do blood tests/sperm samples etc and then from what I remember (this was over 5 years ago) there was a bit of a wait (months) so was advised that I could pay to effectively queue jump (or go semi private, not sure) but as I was 39 and they might not treat you after 40, we were strongly advised to get on with it. All my treatment was at the unit, sadly only got 4 eggs, only two ferilised and we were told we could pull out as chances were not too good, but we ploughed on and 9 months later our daughter was born! From what I remember all tests were done at the unit, bought all my drugs over the internet, they teach you how to take them though. All initial scans done there and then once past 6 weeks we were referred to the hospital for all the usual scans and back to the care of my GP. We now also have a three year old son who was a complete surprise! Good luck and don't give up hope.
  10. My daughter is at Hollydale and my son will probably go there in 2013, the school needs committed parents so it's great to hear that you want to support the school. Please try and get involved as much as possible - it makes a big difference.
