These, particularly the pensions, will grow massively as longer lives combined with baby boomers retiring rack these up monumentally; if or when interest rates go up this will get worse, as our govt debt incurs more interest - it's horrific at the moment even with the UK,s cost of borrowing being historically cheap. western economies nearly all face this demographic and fiscal timebomb= massive inflation or a massive reduction in what the state will be able to afford to do. Retirement age to 75? the NHS means tested? Euthanasia? The 20th century model of the western welfare state is dying my friends......be prepared

You have to do the maths. It,s not a straightforward question.....deposit. Interest rate? Payment terms, etc. I,d assume a loan is better but not with the Krays for example...sorry, you need to do this yourself......

I think there was an enormous difference between the original Skinhead scene late 60s/early 70s and the Oi driven late 70s NF skins. Musically and to a lesser degree politically. Also old school skinheads really dressed well and thought about it but the Oi lot were more uniformed - DMs/Harringtons etc Intersetingly West Ham had loads of the Oi lot, not least the Rejects, but our 'lads'/firms never had an openly racist feel (not saying there weren't plenty of racists in them) in comparison to say Chelsea who were Combat 18. The Rejects weren't overtlt racists just white working class eastenders.
