Anyway, West Ham have already sold 46,000 season Tickets at the OS...."you'll never fill it" "careful what you wish for" etc

it's all a bit fluid - throughout the 80s the big 5 who led all the TV negotiations etc were Liverpool, Man U, Everton, Arsenal & Spurs.
  3. Yup let's go back to the absolutely fantastic standards that characterised LEA inner city state schools in the 70s/80s and 90s....er not
  4. Rye Lane isn't gentrified - it's just become 'very hip' partly because of the 'edgy Frisson' of the name 'Peckham' that's an early indication that it will get gentrified rather than it's Fulham

Not much value today is there? I am going to do Sizing John EW in the Arkle, Annie Power (poor value value) in the Champion Hurdle and that'll be my lot today - Min and Vroum Vroum Mag may join Annie Power in an Accie too How much are you planning on losing this year Mick?
  8. Crawley = the cure & Suede
  9. There's law, There's common sense There's a bit of decency Not that the OP has been deliberately unthinking and the response (note) to her was out of order -my MIL is disabled but I have asked her not to park in our neighbour's spot. My neighbour had a shopworker on LL park in her disabled space almost every day for a while then walk the 100 yards to LL - now that's selfish behavior in my book, however legal. When pulled up on it he said 'it's not yours'...but noticeably doesn't park in it anymore. As Sidhue said maybe you can apply for one for your mum?
  10. yes, - ones in side streets are outside houses for a reason (because they are needed by a resident in the property) not as a random disabled bay. I don't think this is actually a matter of legality but I thought it was widely known. So you are 'sort of' in the wrong - though I appreciate it can't always be easy tp find one and clearly it was a mistake rather than selfishness; but from the residents' point of view imagine if you couldn't get into your own house after say being shopping/school run etc?

When Man U fans and players seem genuinely happy with a draw...at OT.... against West Ham.... you know the club's got problems. Should be a cracker under the lights...though our last ever game there will be against Man U under the lights too!

Well, I think we should have won that. Man U are a shadow of the team they used to be and I'm reasonably confident we'll do them at our place.

  17. Hey Louisa , why don't you start your own forum? Maybe not allow 'blow-ins' 'snobs' and 'Yummy mummys' in and ban anyone who 'bullies'* you or foxy too? Only propa old school SE22 salt of the earths..... *that is people picking up others on massive inconsistencies or gross stereotyping

Don't reply or Foxy will likely threaten you with the police as part of some sort of hate crime thing....
  19. So when Foxy had the money and no spare time; eating out was his normal behaviuor and perfectly acceptable When Foxy has less money and plenty of time; eating out is beyond his understanding why people eat out so much. yup, all makes sense

Roeder for me - took us down with a crop of amazing young players: Cole; Defoe; Lampard; Carrick etc (and a decent squad), Result we lost most of them to Chelsea; a couple of seasons before I though we were really going to challenge for some silverware with that lot in our ranks. Devastated us (financially too).
  21. tick tock, *bob*, tick tock
  22. Nope on my occasional forced night out I'm happy with a pint or two in SE22 before pootering home at 10.30 when the sadder old gits head down to the Bussey..... to stare at girls a few years older than their kids. (no names :)

  24. Anecdotally it looks to me like The pubs and bars in LL have *suffered* a decline in people/footfall though *Bob* as any drinkers under 30 - and the more desperate clinging to their youth 30- 40 years old (and a few even older) - have decamped to Peckham/Bellenden. I don't think SE22 is much of a drinking destination nowadays (compered to a whilst back) it's just locals.
