  1. jrussel.......first time very good, 2nd attempt piss poor
  2. Finally, no-one's actually saying we are in a recession yet...the economy's still growing...it's jut going to happen
  3. Agree - intersetig concept looking at the website but they don't know how to do objective market research imo...and it's not a quotad representative sample either, so in reality the views of some vocal people on the internet.....
  4. er...a random sample survey on the interweb tnigy ain't the 'truth'...sorry, I'll do your survey but it's hardly representative....up there with thse polls on Breakfast TV
  5. When I was young house parties were a regular (every saturday) feature of life in London as 1) Everyone was skint 2) Clubs closed at 2am 3) Although I like house/dance music - it kind of made a tape recorder with the Smiths on it in your front room a bit lightweight 4) Whole swathes of areas like Camberwell were squats with associated parties
  6. Snoozey - it's starting to happen now....keep your eyes on the next set of unemployment figures....the icy fingers are stretching *tries desperately to think of better metaphor ** realises it's not a metaphor *** goes to pub
  7. jrussel BRAVO...one of the finest fishing efforts I have ever seen on 'tweb
  8. I can't be arsed to read all this - is this the best bit of fishing EVER....or for real?
  9. Both of mine were 'accidents' and they both bring/brought a completley new meaning to my life. Both were born in my 40s and before them I couldn't ever imagine having kids whereas now I couldn't imagine not having them. They also have saved my liver (probably) and my dignity (certainly) as I was NOT growing old gracefully.
  10. They'll soon be more...mark my words
  11. I think an anti-social life is underrarted
  12. Chimneys cleaned for free Good begging props Give use for wasted space in cupboard under stairs - the most effective 'naughty step' by far imo Older ones (above5) can look after younger ones whilst you go to Bookies/pub/Torremelionos Well trained babies make good shoplifters Spend all their Xmas money on booze
  13. 100
  14. Nope - was hoping to come along early (off bus on way home) to say hello but can't do later as i've a green card for tomorrow night so a bit much to get 2 in a row.
  15. What times kick off?
  16. Isn't there a bigger issue in here which is that whilst homophobia is abhorrent and, I agree with you James, on a casual basis more widespread, gay men and woman aren't vastly overrepresented in the poorest, unemployed and imprisoned sections of our population in the way that black men and woman are, so whilst I agree that I *suspect* nowadays being overtly gay in London opens you to more casual abuse or hurtful remarks than being black, it has less bearing on your health, employment prospects and wealth......
  17. PS Where's Seany when you need him?
  18. To take Keef's point about Trolls - I genuienely got quite a lot of abuse for my first post on here for (provocatively admittetdly) pointing out that the feckless incapable idiots who cant manage their bank accounts properly had given the majority free banking for the past 10 years - which is now going to disappear thanks to the court action against banks. I've already seen some 'evidence' that a new poster on here is being identified as 'troll' 'cos he's not in the cozy club......I think as admin and Keef point to, the 'liberal' consensus on here isn't always that liberal about divergent views....but, hey, that's lefty liberals the world over.....;-)
  19. Er....I think it's because the Police know who the suspect is for the latter so they don't need to issue a description...
  20. I used to live near the Regents Park aviary - believe me that's a F*cking dawn chorus
  21. A famous horse, "L'Escargot", would have lasted seconds in France
  22. Gawd....isn't this a bit paranoid or have I missed something?....a bit of a "you're not from round 'ere" Slaugthered Lamb feel to this whole thread.......which, I tink this forum has a tendancy to in all honesty
  23. O god I hate these 'cos its a bit chummy and in-crowd....but you still can't help joining in.. My favourite poster who I nearly had a fight with = Brendan My favourite poster who I agreed to differ with Moos My favourite footie chum mockney My favourite bit of posh Dulwichmuumy my favourite politician Mamoraman My favourite Chav - CWALD Pompey Raver - Ratty All round good egg and owe a pint Sean mC But, for reasons I'm not sure, but I think it's his consistent funnyness and independence my favorite is *bob*...who seems to have sadly gone for a while
