  2. Hi I am female and walk up Dunstans Road (parallel to Ryedale) from the bust stop on Forest Hill Road to get to Underhill Road and have never (touch wood) had any problems even after dark in 3 1/2 years. Welcome to the area.
  3. The 63 goes all the way to Kings Cross. I get it to work every day and get off at Smithfield market for the City. It takes around an hour door to door.
  4. Does anyone know what was going on about 12.30am last night? Loads of plain clothed police and dogs chasing some blokes (and arresting one).
  5. Thanks Mikeb, I think I will give it a go next week.
  6. Mikeb I am thinking of cycling to the city as the 63 bus is taking an age at the moment. Which route do you take?
  7. I can confirm they are opening tonight, as I tried to book a table for Monday (unsuccessfully - they close Mondays) earlier. Number is 020 8693 7877 for anyone who needs it.
  8. We ate in Le Moulin after reading some review on this forum. Looking past the decor which I really don't care about, the food was good but not exceptional, but then I wasn't expecting it to be Gordon Ramsay! The thing that put me off and will ensure are unlikely to go back (well at least unitl after 1 May), was that nearly every single table around us was smoking. A little but of smoke normally doesn't bother me, so perhaps the restaurant was poorly ventilated, but we came out absolutely reeking of the stuff. I expect that froma bar, but not a restaurant.
  9. I might be widely vilified for this, but as Huguenot declared himself also a fan at the last forum drinks I might just chance it.... Today I will be mostly listening to A-ha - Scoundrel Days. Fantastic. :-$
  10. Starter - Piedemont Roasted Peppers Cut red pepper in half and de-seed. Keep stalks on. Fill with two quarters of nice (preferably vine ripened) tomatoes, drizzle with olive oil and season. Put on some crushed garlic. Optional (but I don't like them ) add a couple of strips of anchovie. Roast in the oven on medium heat (170ish) for 45 mins. Keep an eye on them though as some ovens vary. Should stary to go soft and caramelised. My step dad used to serve these in his restaurant but I have just found that Delia does them too! They are really quick, easy and delicious. http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/piedmont-roasted-peppers,1314,RC.html

Pham Sushi is the best ever! I always order from there when working late (2 mins from work) and adore their crunchy tuna rolls.
  12. The Time Traveller's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger.
  13. I have only ever seen him a couple of times in Sainsburys - always on the phone to his agent speaking at the top of his voice.....
  14. Does James Nesbitt still live on Melbourne Grove?
