  5. I think Bilic has done a great job at West Ham, he was a very tidy player and thus far has proved to be a decent manager. It'll be interesting to see how he does next season.

Was that down to Van Ghoul? Sterling has never been anything else. His price tag is all down to the fact that he is an English player and for some inexplicable reason they command ridiculous prices. Liverpool must be overjoyed.
  7. Absolute shocker of week AGAIN. Serves me right for not going with my heart and backing us to draw instead, Cheers City, AGAIN, cheers Liverpool AGAIN.
  8. Does Manchester have a same city rivalry after all only one of the two is actually in Manchester? Just saying
  9. That's interesting. I agree with much of what you say, and what's also interesting is the fact that you've left out Chelsea. Although I'd agree with your omission there, purely because they are toxic from top to bottom.
  10. I've noticed a few threads on EDF recently putting down other areas of London, I just wonder if the authors have stopped to consider that some may consider Peckham to be a shithole, and East Dulwich, not to their taste? I've never been to Crawley, but went to school in Peckham in the late 60's and early 70's and had a shop in Peckham for nine years. Then and now, I always thought Peckham was shite, and East Dulwich has never been to my taste. But would I really want to start a thread on the subject?

I would argue they are still a great club, but I'll ask again, what do you think makes a great club?

The BBC should know, so you'd hope they might mention it. Twaterry in its purest form

So what does make a great club in your opinion? I'm guessing you'd claim your club is "great club" ?
  14. And as for Villa, European cup 1982, one of a few English clubs to have won, lest we forget.

  16. Newcastle are a great club, great following 50 odd thousand through the gate every week, more then the vast majority of prem clubs get each week.

    Uber

Going on recent experiences in zone 1 , black cab drivers have about as much knowledge as I have of London's roads , as I posted previously one bloke asked me the way from Cannon Street to St Martins Lane. Makes you wonder how he passed the knowledge.

    Uber

Strangely I have no sympathy at all for black cab drivers bleating about loss of earnings since the arrival of Uber. They've enjoyed a monopoly for decades and suddenly the overpriced service they provide is being challenged by afar more affordable alternative. The argument that black cabbies know here they are going is bollocks, I've been in a few where the driver clearly didn't have a clue. Most recently got in a black against my better judgment outside Cannon Street station and asked him to drop me at a pub in St Martins Lane, I had to direct him. So much for the knowledge. And the amount of times over the years that I've heard the phrase "I don't go south of the river" , finally the robbing F**kers have got their comeuppance. Long live uber

Anyone who gets credit for falling over at Old Trafford in front of the fourth official deserves to remain as manager for decades.
