Fat Frank scoring from the penalty spot or via a deflection, how unusual. Should be useful for the Europa league next season. Come on Barca.

CSKA Fulham drop to 6th and Torres looks like a steal at only ?50 million. B)

Razors Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Come on Chelsea - 4th place calling! Player fell over his own feet and ref gives a pen, shocking. CSKA Fulham have been second best throughout, and if Chavski think they can turn over Barca, they should remember the old saying, never confuse confidence with ability!! I saw Ashley Young con the ref. And as I write this Fulham have scored!! Thye have been the better team all night.

I agree, if Tevez wanted to act like a cnut there's not a lot Mancini could do to prevent it. As you say, we have no way of knowing what has gone on behind closed doors. Look at the way Anelka acted when he wanted away from Arsenal, there was very little Wenger could have done to make him stay. He could have insisted that he had a legally binding contract, but that would have poisoned the dressing room, alternatively he could have let him rot in the reserves, instead he cashed in on a valuable asset. I genuinely hope Mancini stays, and that the oil rich arabs don't put in place a revolving door manager process like the one at CSKA Fulham.

To be fair to Mancini, he isn't the first, and I'm sure he won't be the last manager to stand by a wayward player. George Graham did with Merson and Adams, Matt Busby did it with Best, Ferguson did with Cantona, Rooney and Ferdinand. Unfortunately the manger can't control what happens once a player gets on to the pitch. Viera was red carded on many occasions in his first year at Arsenal, but turned out be probably the best player in his position in Europe, if not the world, at his peak. I'm not trying to defend Balotelli, but I think we should cut Mancini a bit of slack. If he didn't castigate Balotelli, I'm sure he'd still get slaughtered. I feel for the guy, and still think he's a decent manager.

The best thing about todays game, apart from the result, the 3 points , being above Spuds, again, was watching that nasty little mercenary being subbed off and being taunted with chants of "what a waste of money", still he did say he wanted to win trophies. Just won't be with City. Maybe he'll bugger off to PSG as they are now paying the big bucks.
-
Balotelli really should have walked after the tackle on Song!!! Disgraceful. I'm glad we won and put some daylight between us and Spuds, mind the gap!!! City were out muscled, out thought, out played and out classed. All that money spent and they are imploding. It;s a toss up between City and Liverpool as to which club has wasted the most money in the transfer markets.

Bring on Barca,we have nothing to fear. Really? Poor deluded fool. Genuinely hope you get turned inside out, as your owner represents everything odious about the modern game.

Complacency creeping in Arsenal? Welld one to QPR fighting for Prem survival. I give Andy Carroll 8.9 for style, and delivery. Jessie.

Huguenot to quote you To say that Exxon Mobile are rich so third party contractors should be paid more is foolish - do you intend to pay your decorator a share of your house price when you sell it? No - of course not. So can we expect a rebate on the bonuses paid to failed banks and financial institutions bailed out by funds from the public purse? Of course not.

If so he must have written this with a heavy heart but at lease he doesn't allow sentiment to cloud his judgement. He's spot on.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17500931 Is this the same man that chastised an upstart QPR player for claiming Liverpool were tired? There's no pleasing some people!!
-
Just caught Dalglish reacting indignantly to comments made by QPR winning goal scorer, that Liverpool looked tired in the midweek game. He really needs to get a grip, not the behaviour of a "king" more like a court jester.

Great night of football, City turn over the Chavs, Spuds draw and the Arsenal win and go above them agftrr being 10 points behind. Mind the gap indeed. ;-) And where to start with Liverpool? I bet Hodgson is having a quiet chuckle to himself. And more importantly Fabrice Muamba is getting better, please god.

Anyway, Up the Blues, good win today. Abramovich and his ilk are bad for football, sooner he goes on to other things the better. Fabrice Muamba is howing small signs of improvement according to Sky, breathing on his own and small signs of movement in his limbs. Here's hoping and praying for a full and speedy recovery.

Please EDFers which ever god you believe in, say a little prayer for ex Gooner, Fabrice Muamba. Here's hoping he pulls through safe and sound.

Ok fair play to you. If ever we needed reminding that European football is gaining ground on us, and in the case of Spain surpassing us, last nights games were a timely reminder. Bilbao were brilliant, and I hope they go on to win the thing. Excellent display by them and Ferguson gracious in defeat. Well done.

Go on then, Luton Town, tell us why don't you?
