We've been playing champions league football for years prior to this season, so one season out won't kill us, just ask Mancs, Liverpool, ohh and of course your mob. Lets see how you're doing after playing us, Everton, Chavski, and Man Ure in the coming weeks. Might be a case of what gap?

One word for last night...............abject............maybe two..........piss poor. And as for spuds, you've won sod all yet. Lets see where they are come the end of the season.
  4. Poor old Mick McCarthy. I feel for him and hope he gets another job soon. Chelsea anyone?
  5. Liverpool were forced in to making an apology and not because they felt any sense of wrong doing on their part. Very poor.
  6. Listening to John Barnes on Talksport and asking why is there a problem with Suarez nor shaking Evras hand!!! Really John? What colour was your skin last time you looked in the mirror?

  8. "King" Kenny? More like court jester. Credibility shot to pieces, Suarez should be disposed of, he has greatly tarnished the clubs image. Would Paisley or Shankly stood for his shit? And lest I foget, Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry!!!!!!!!!

Fair question, but I was born and bred in London but my late dad and ma, who is still here bless 'er, came over from Cyprus in the middle 50's. As a result, and having spent the early part of my life in north London not far from Highbury, my allegiance has always been the Arsenal first, and England second. The Cypriot side is made up entirely of Greek players because of political situation in Cyprus so I've no allegiance there, which is a shame but until the political landscape changes that's the way it is. Oh and I have seen England win the world cup and am lucky enough to remember it albeit partially. I remember the England mascot was world cup willy and you could buy tins of sweets with the logo emblazoned on the lid. Happy times.
  10. The resignation of Capello and the not guilty verdict for the nodding Churchill dog both arriving in close proximity to each other would suggest...............nah!! It couldn't ............could it?
  11. I've always been club before country, I don't go to watch England week in week out, I've not followed then home and away and I've not spent time, money and emotion on the national side in the same way that I have with my club side.
  12. By Phil McNulty Chief football writer, BBC Sport at Anfield Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish welcomed Luis Suarez back from a lengthy absence in the draw with Tottenham but again said he should never have served a ban. Uruguayan Suarez returned as a substitute in the 0-0 stalemate after an eight-game ban for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra. "It's fantastic to have him back. He should never have been out in the first place," said Dalglish. "Luis Suarez doesn't have anything to prove to anyone at Liverpool FC." Maybe not to Liverpool, but he sure as hell has a lot to prove to everybody else in the UK.

Indeed it was, and he also got a little narky when asked what he thought of Carrolls performance. King Kenny indeed.
  14. Dalglish asked by Sky after game about the lift given to Liverpool by Suarez return, he said he should never have been missing. So racial abuse it alright then Kenny? Good on you mate, no wonder they call you "King"!!!

Over compensating for his short comings.

Is that all you can manage.Competing in Europe? Well that won't include your mob then. Unless you mean Channel 5 mediocrity. By the way, I see Ferdinand has been pulled out of the Chavski game with an "injury". Nothing to do with that akward moment that may occur if Terry is fit then?
  21. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Still, must be very galling for those poor Gooners > lying in 7th and 12 points behind Spurs. Well your fans should know, after all you lot have been behind us for years. 61 etc.
  22. Oo you calling a wheeler dealer??? I'm a f**king brilliant football manager (even if he does say so himself). OOOO you looking at at John, do you know ooo I am. I'll 'ave some of the chaps sort you arht!!!!! 'Arry must think he's in an episode of The Sweeney!! >:D<
  23. Damian H wrote "To claim (as has been pointed out) that the banks are solely to blame for not identifying the fact that people were lying through their teeth is like a terrorist who blows up a plane blaming airport security for not catching him." It certainly isn't anything like the same thing. To invite people to apply for financial products such as sub prime product, WITHOUT stringent and robust checks being made is folly of highest order. While we're about it I would suggest its more like a drug dealer who blames the addict for leading the dealer into criminality.
