Hello NCT are ones you pay for. The ones through Kings are free NHS ones. I started mine at Dulwich Hospital last week and they were really good. I'm 32 weeks and got the letter a few weeks before. I did ring Kings though back in December and they can look up what classes you are on. You usually do the breast feeding one about 35/36 weeks - I haven't got my date yet. MATB1 you usually get from your midwife - depends who you're with re when you get it - didn't get mine until about 26 weeks. Hope that helps Jo

Hello Went to our first antenatal class at Dulwich Hospital tonight. We thought it might be super busy and a bit hectic as it's the free NHS ones - it was really good, a nice size group about 10 couples - just in case anyone else had similar worries! Jo

Sorry I missed last night - would have loved to see you all and meet some newbies. I can hoever recommend The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre for anyone with little ones to entertain. I took my niece who's not yet 3 (tricky thinking of a show at Christmas that would keep her concentration). It was amazing and she loved it, captivated the whole way through - which was 1hr 50mins!! with a 20min interval. Will post soon about where to go on the 17th. Jo

Another scan complete - all is well thankfully. The baby was bum down and curled up (!) so it took a while for them see everything they needed to. Have kept the gender as a surprise! A question for longer term locals - any reccommendations for dentists (peckham rye/east dulwich) that allow the free treatment for preg ladies? Thanks Jo

Hi all Good to hear all the scans are going well. Mine today, a bit late as 23 weeks so fingers crossed. Gutted I can't make the 8th. If anyone else can't make it but fancies meeting a fellow pregnant person before Christmas let me know - I could do coffee/breakfast one Saturday 3rd or 10th. Jo

Hi Helen Thanks for your post. It's not my group, the forum administrator sets them up for expectant Mum's (due at a similar time) who want to meet other expectant Mum's in the same boat. I've joined for the same reasons Jenny has mentioned, the social side and that's definitely the plan for the 3rd - I confess, it's a bit of a break from antenatal appointments, scans and pregnancy classes. I'm sure once we get to know each other and have had a few more meet ups many of the group will get in touch to ask you questions/organise a specific meeting - you might want to post about your services & support you offer on the main family forum section - it'll be seen by all expectant parents, not just this group. phew - glad the list was useful for everyone (even if a little over organised!) I was getting confused who said they could meet so much easier now. There's about 11 of us that can come on the 3rd so far so I'll ring around places on/near LL tomorrow to see which can reserve us a seated area for 15 (can check numbers nearer the date). I'm new to the area so will call the places I've seen near LL (The Actress/The Bishop/Clock House?) and any other suggestions people have. Midivydale - really hope you feel better soon and can make the 3rd. Countjc - I hope to start legs bums and tums at Jaggs this week or next so see you there? Somewhere that does food if people need to grab a bite to eat. I'll reserve an area once we decide. From the first meet I think we're all spread out across Peckham, Nunhead, ED and HH - so perhaps we should rotate the venue each meet up - covering off the areas?
