  3. no that was a guess, it wasn't my clue!
  4. and have just double checked The Lonesome Crowded West. I have every tune marked as 5/5. Either I've had some weird nights or I'm a bit wrong, Just checked them all, cant argue against any mark. perfect album in my world then........what's your perfect album? I lie, track 2 was a mere 7
  5. ok, listend to sun kil moon. It's very nice, its a bit nick drake, i've lot that treads that ground, halstead and co. Here's what what modest mouse is about and why tiny cities was such a disaster, you can't take their dissection of society and make it onto skinny love!!!!
  6. genius. spot on.

wot otta said. It is a different world and following Daley's inspirational example I reckon the wider reaction will be positive. If his team mates do likewise then they should be fine, though I suspect he'll get a mauling from some opposition players and opposition fans. Effing gutter press, threatening/blackmailing people for exclusives as if who someone boffs is newsworthy*, cunts!!! *unless of course it's ryan boffing his sister in law ;)
  8. "I know which queue will be longest and so do you" That wasn't the question, you asked what I'd do. Of course we know what queue would be the longest. Even taking the terrorism thing out of the equation a bit of snobbery and casual racism would more than be enough to account for it!
  9. Plus if it's a british airport then radicals are most likely to be home grown, probably of an ethnicity that could be afro-carribean, west african, east african or from the sub-continent. Your middle-eastern type is actually the least of your worries. Hell even one of the Kenya massacre people was a white woman from the home counties.

Perryman was one of my first heroes in football as it goes Jah.
  11. Honest truth? I genuinely wouldn't care. The chances of anything are incredibly small. In terms of weighing up risk you'd be better off just not putting them on the plane in the first place, though how you get them from the airport is another matter entirely given the chances of dying increase the second you get them on the platform of the tube station. I'm just not leaving the house, which will have the gas and electricity disconnected of course, and no furniture to fall off, it goes without saying that i've downgraded to a bungalow. In fact I might as well put them in a bag with some bricks and just bring on the inevitable.
  12. awaits edited 2 time(s) .....
  13. Nope, my kids still aren't of middle eastern appearance, or are you suggesting that my spanish swarthiness makes them so (they take after their irish mum).

If Carroll can get fit than I think he'd be a useful player to have.

If we can't do it pretty (and we can't), do it huffing and puffing. Maybe we could do a Greece!
  16. Eh? My kids aren't middle eastern. That makes no sense.

Noble is dogged, determined, a good tackler and passer, good awareness and positioning, and can occasionally boot the ball well. He's far from a star player and maybe not a game changer, but he's effective and personifies the spirit the national team utterly lacks right now. Given the dearth of talent and the insipid displays so called great players have shown in recent years, give me a Noble in the squad any day.

We ARE in a bad way though! I'd put the current squad in about the third tier of quality. We are neither challengers nor outsiders, we're makeweights currently.

OK, rather overdoing it, especially suggesting picking a striker who isn't even match fit, and Downing has his haters, but Noble, there's truth in them thar hills http://metro.co.uk/2014/03/06/why-roy-hodgson-must-start-picking-west-ham-stars-like-andy-carroll-stewart-downing-and-mark-noble-for-englands-world-cup-2014-squad-4444228/
  20. erm, gulf war 1 protests, 21 years ago n'est pas? On the implications of colour, if in british terms you'd been a CHAV, I'm sure the reaction would have been different. Maybe some things just are what they seem. I guess you'd need to conduct the experiment with an older black man and a younger white man just to be sure. We probably need to do it with a woman of each kind too. And then each of the above sans hoodie.
  21. Have her earlier albums, have heard good things about her latest and her david byrne collaboration
  22. This might get snorky out of his slumber, but No More Shall We Part is an almost faultless album!! I'll give Benji a quick spotify then, see if they can redeem themselves after the horror of Tiny Cities. I liked the Red House Painters, so something should gel.
  23. Wow. Was the ink green?
  24. Another vote for ginger beer, Gingerbeer's pretty fab too!
  25. Are sun kil moon worth a listen then? I heard their Modest Mouse cover album and ran a mile, but perhaps I was being unfair on them. Am currently ripping all my collection to FLAC in readiness for my DAC to appear (hopefully today) for my set up in my new home office, so really just listening to whatever passes through. But have really enjoyed M?m and Notwist, neither of which had I heard for a while. Of recently bought, I seem to have leant towards easy electropop, with Chvrches and Marnie (the pretty lilting scottish one from Ladytron).
