  2. A week or so ago whilst purchasing, Terry Jones came in to the EDD, only to be fawned upon by the owner... I felt a bit 'car sick'
  3. Go to bloody Paris or somewhere! Jeez...
  4. This is very bad news... It can't be due to poor sales etc. It was started up by the chap in Barry's shop next door. Perhaps it's a rent issue or a offer that couldn't be refused?

  7. ...when you turn your landing light off.
  8. It's a revolting dirty flee pit of a place with lazy idiots running it. Just don't go there... maybe you could try Greenwich picture house.
  9. Absolutely Bonkers! 55 pages of property cr*p, some over the top fashion nonsense and a couple of interesting (ish) features and single pages of local interest. Better than that SE22 dross tho. Good print & stock... can't begin to imagine who would pay ?3.95 for it?
  10. Wow! How fascinating, not! People will start posting threads about walking round dog sh*t next. Oh, they already do...

You make some fair points MrBen... perhaps I was just stupidly fantasizing about driving around in my car emblazoned with logos etc telling everyone about my great magazine company!

I would've thought the majority of people understand the definition of credibility in this instance thanks, and you know full well it has nothing to do with 'military capability'. I think you'll find a pretty high percentage of locals who would agree with me that East Dulwich deserves a 'more' credible mag than what we have at present.

I've got no issue with that, I'm saying SE22 mag is pap!. It's structure and layout is rubbish and the photography is laughable. As you state you 'flinch' when walking past crappy local architecture, I flinch when a copy of SE22 drops on my doormat.

I don't recall saying that there should'nt be local advertising or sponsored pages or features? I do understand how a magazine can function including printing and distribution. I also understand that SE22 contains bits of useful information, but it's look and feel is inadequate at best. With regards to editing, I guess we can all have our own opinions on that subject. What has the organisation of the Goose Green Fair got to do with anything?

I'm talking about a publication that is properly designed, properly written with engaging features, creative photography, illustration, profiles, general local interests and a thought provoking read. Do please tell me where I should be looking to get all of these?
  23. What do you think about the idea?
  24. Thank you, very good, great video... If it aint baroque, don't fix it!
