  1. I also highly recommend Aria and his brother. (Phone:0773 973 4895) They came round and quickly and efficiently fixed a leaking kitchen sink - then swiftly came round today to fix another issue. Professional, friendly and a job well done. I will absolutely be calling them in future!
  2. I can highly recommend Colin at CHS Pest Control (previously at K&O Pest Control). CHS Pest Control's phone number is 0208 778 1557. Colin has helped us and neighbours at short notice to deal with mice over the years and more recently today. He is incredibly professional, quick to respond, friendly and knows his stuff. He works to find the points of entry in the house for the pests - even crawling in the cellar. And, he comes back weekly to ensure the problem is sorted. He is also very careful about placement of any bait where children or pets are concerned. He has been working in pest control for years. He is trustworthy and effective. We can highly recommend him.
  3. Agree with every other high recommendation for Knight & Sons Waste Removal! Paul's number is 07985 104 027 Paul came round same day - gave us a very reasonable quote to clear old decking boards and bags of rubbish. They were friendly, polite, professional and just great guys. Cleared as quickly as they came. We will definitely use them in future. I highly recommend.
  4. I had some car body repairs completed by Aston at Scorpio Coachworks last week. I can't recommend him enough. He came as a trusted recommendation from a friend when he repaired their Audi and I also saw positive posts for him on the forum. He was brilliant - the car looks fantastic, he was timely, very reasonably priced (I had 3 estimates from various repair shops in the local area) and he is a really good-natured fellow to work with. He has repaired dents and scrapes down the side of the car, dents in our boot and a dented bumper - all fixed and repainted to look like new. Aston's number is 07958 619 468.
  5. Thank you all very much for the recommendations.
  6. We are in need of an experienced tradesman to help with brickwork repairs on our terraced Victorian house. We have areas with missing mortar primarily on the side of the house (which when windy and rainy allows water indoors!) and also needing some repair / repointing to the front garden wall. Any recommendations welcomed. Please reply or PM me. Thank you.
  7. Another BIG recommendation for Barney Rubble -- I phoned this morning about having old decking and garden rubbish cleared from the front garden. Within 30 minutes, he gave a quote and his team came round to clear it. Fast, courteous and did a great job. Could not be more pleased. His number is: 07541 132 087. Thank you to "Mr. Rubble" and his team!
  8. Hi lh1234 - I was just about to post a similar question and saw yours! I also have baby clothes, maternity clothes, women's clothes all in near-new condition. I would also be most interested in knowing if there are any local women's shelters or family shelters (or similar) who might be able to use them? Thanks for any and all ideas!
  9. Hi, We are looking for a cleaner to start as soon as possible as ours after 4 years has started a childcare business. We would love any recommendations that can be provided by those in the East Dulwich area who have or know of a reliable, trustworthy and thorough cleaner. We are looking for someone who could come weekly and clean for 4 hours and occasionally do a small amount of ironing, if needed. Our previous cleaner was of such a high standard and took initiative that we?re hoping to find someone equally as good! If you can recommend someone we would be grateful. Please send me a PM. Thank you.
  10. I want to add another strong recommendation for K & O Pest Control. They have been absolutely brilliant - incredibly knowledgable, thorough and reliable. Very friendly and give good advice for keeping the problem from coming back. http://www.kandopestcontrol.co.uk 020 8778 1557
  11. Hi everyone - Congratulations to the new babies! (Jane - you may have set a new record. Well done!) Unfortunately not going to be able to make it to Gardens this morning - realised my appointment for Bubs at King's is earlier than I thought! Hope to see you all next time. Nicole xx
  12. Hi! I agree - was great to catch up with everyone today. Good to know that we're all in it together - and be able to laugh about it! I'll hope to join you at the Gardens on Tuesday (11 a.m. works for us). I'll tell myself we have to leave at 9 in hopes that we'll be ready to walk out the door just ahead of 11...Charlie is very skilled at letting [insert unfavorable bodily function here] go at the most inopportune moments! See you soon. And best wishes to those whose babies are nearly here! Nicole x
  13. Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing well. And congratulations to all the new deliveries!! Well, it's raining men... Our little fella, Charlie, was born on 7 March weighing in at 8 lb. 9 oz. He's been an angel - thank goodness as we were in the hospital a bit longer than expected. Home yesterday which was a nice Mother's Day treat. Look forward to seeing you all soon. And all the best to the new babies and those upcoming! Nicole xx
  14. Hi! Meeting up on 1 Feb sounds great to me! Count me in please. 7:30 at the Actress is perfect. See you all soon. Nicole xx
  15. Hi all! Emma - Would love to join you all on 22 Jan. Thanks for organising. Also, thanks for the info re: labor ward tours at King's! In a bit of a pregnancy-hormone induced panic, I phoned the Nightingale Birthing Unit to ask if they would still be having the tours at the end of Jan (which was the first date my husband and I would be able to go). The lady I spoke to said that yes, they would still be having the tours through January. But as you say, the plan is to stop them in the near future. Apparently, the NHS still has to notify all their staff, the public, etc. in advance of stopping the tours which would take some weeks. I guess they are moving to a "virtual tour" - where initially they will provide CD's on loan (goodness knows how that will work), then eventually post the virtual tour online. Anyway, thought I'd share that for what it's worth! Welcome to the newbies. And thanks Jane for organising the list! Look forward to seeing you all. And hope scans are going well! Nicole x
  16. Hi everyone! I fell off the radar for a while - had to lay low with risk of pre-term labor! All stabilized & okay now. Phew! I can't believe we're all so close! It has definitely flown by. I would love to join you all at Blue Mountain on Saturday if they can squeeze one more pregnant lady in? ;-) Really looking forward to seeing you all again. -Nicole xx
  17. Hello! Just an update from our scan on Tuesday. Baby is good and gear up for some more testosterone in the Spring Babies Club - it's a boy! He certainly wasn't shy - going to have to teach the fella some modesty before he comes into this world! See you all soon. Hope you're all well. Jo - I'm impressed with the mountaineering! Well done! Nicole
  18. Hi! Hope everyone is doing well! It was great to meet you all last week. I'm definitely up for meeting again. Unfortunately I'll be away at the end of November but will hope to catch you for the next time. All the best to those with scans coming up. We have ours this evening...excited & nervous all at the same time! See you all soon. Nicole
  19. Hi everyone! So pleased I found out about Spring Babies Club. I'm pregnant with our 1st and due date is...(you won't believe)...12th March as well! Thrilled to see others on / around that date to share this experience with. If you're up for adding one more, I'd love to join you on 3rd Nov. Look forward to meeting you all. (This is my 1st post on ED Forum so here's hoping I've got this right!) N
