  1. Those complaining about prices, these are small businesses offering quality produce made with skill and love. I don't think ?5-7 is unreasonable for a decent lunch. You won't find much cheaper of a similar quality in London. Raastawala offered a huge wrap and mango lassie for ?5. Great value. There's always morleys over the road if you want something cheap (no disrespect to Morleys, I'll destroy some chicken with the best of 'em)!
  2. Went both days. Great food, particularly the wraps of raastawala. Samba band were great, turnout was fantastic; so good to see Nunhead buzzing. Hope it happens again next year.
  3. Ha ha, yes it is. Still early in development and in need of many tweaks. Interested to see where it could go with enough input. Spread the word (or not, I hate self promotion, lol)
  4. Great suggestions again, updated the list. Totally forgot about Blue Brick, we get their breakfasts quite regularly. Looks like my waistband is going to be expanding in the coming months...
  5. Great suggestions. Been a while since I've visited Babur but I remember it being great
  6. I probably should add a morleys, doesn't get more south London then that...
  7. Great, actually popped into the patch on Sat but only for a drink. Anyone feel free to add stuff yourself if you can be arsed!
  8. Angels & gypsies! How could I forget them. Pricey, but there croquettes are pure crack.
  9. I'll have to check it out, although it's probably been rammed since rayner reviewed it.
  10. I'm making a list of restaurants in my local area. Would like suggestions for any that I've missed (there seems to be new places popping up everyday). Has anyone been to the new place on Bellenden Road (I forget the name)? I also noticed a new place on Kirkdale (161 I think) that looks interesting. Feel free to suggest stuff or add to the list and vote here http://www.gridde.com/list/view/5348064108d1d2020003e168
  11. If this is true I shall find you and kiss you.
  12. Ayer's sausage rolls make the baby jesus cry with joy. (Just ignore the 'translucent from grease' wrapper)
  13. Louisa, did someone curl one out in your cornflakes again? If you put half the energy you shove into complaining about the most inane, nonsensical issues and used it to champion a worthy cause you could change the world.

Eh, I was only teasing Loz - of course you're entitled to your opinion. I just find it amusing that people have their panties in a twist because someone described a door as 'fab'. But it's sunny outside so I'm going to stop arguing about stuff on the internet :)

  16. If a Wooster & Stock description is winding you up, I think you have issues. It's what they do, like them or loathe them they certainly stand out from the crowd - as evidenced by this thread. The photographs make the house look great, it might not be your style but I've got more then hunch that most of the people throwing rocks in this thread are doing so from a (badly designed) glass house. *Shrugs* If I had that sorta coin, I'd book a viewing - at least it's different from the endless stream of Victorian conversions that are churned out.
