  1. Take a look at some of the cleaner, greener fun stuff.
  2. Good reason not to send cards tho?
  3. bleak
  4. There are currently over 400 properties for sale within 1/4 mile of SE22. The shortage right now is of social rent homes.
  5. I think trying to link this student accommodation to Kings and other righteous organisations is spurious. The developers would have mentioned it as a plus in their plans. How far the council will insist on the 35% social rents is as yet unknown.
  6. slosh
  7. The line about students releasing family homes is a fraud. Student accommodation is a fancy way of saying HMOs. Less space more rent.
  8. Student accommodation is very popular with developers at the moment because per sq metre it makes more money. Look at similar developments along the old Kent Road, and in Peckham. affordable generally means 80% of market rates. a new four bedroom family home maybe £4000 a month - affordable version of that would be £3200 a month you would need an income of over 100 K to be eligible for that. The location is ideal. It’s otherwise unused land in a long strip. But let’s see if Southwark Council does its job on insisting on at least 35% social housing watch this space.
  9. I would imagine you need close to 100 K a year to pay affordable rents in such a development.
  10. no mention of social housing. surely that is illegal?
  11. still
  12. Judging by the pink hearts, and the welcome sign, and the young man. Certainly posher than my ‘lived e..’
  13. I think they call it lived Experience now.
  14. resin
  15. LTN are rubbish and they didn’t work, but that won’t stop voting me labour to imply otherwise is ridiculous
  16. A joke surely.
  17. Squatters are quite often children of the middle-class, having fun rather than people from the homeless or council waiting lists.
  18. its only banter when you actually know the other person.
  19. Mal your patronising posts alienate the people you try and convert.
  20. stalls in East Dulwich? you mean the once a week market? prices are high there try rye lane there's 3 permanent busy fruit and veg stalls - £1 a bowl - cheap
  21. The March was calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
  22. The march will show internationally the strength of British feeling. However, Braverman’s recent statement has empowered right-wing groups. We see their disruptive violence at the Cenotaph. Mal I predict what you see on the March will just confirm your previously held opinions.
  23. blest
  24. Yes that could work. But still would prefer to see social housing.
