decathlon have a few and if you are very persuasive they may put one aside for you ... it took some sweet talking but hopefully I can pick my 'reserved' sledge up tomorrow. Trouble is need snow to sledge (Brockwell Park fantastic near cafe) but need no snow to pick sledge up by car. Mmmmmmm! Selections, small shop opposite Herne Hill station also had some this week ... Intersport sold out, not getting more.

I'd love to hear from anyone who is home schooling - our son is Year 9 and he goes to an online school, InterHigh, with real teachers and classmates. It's a great alternative to full on home schooling and he hated traditional school so we had to move on from there. We'd love to find others to meet up with locally. Do email me if you're interested. Have you ever considered online schooling? If you'd like to find out more about online school please do contact me. It's solved our school problems and stress. There are some drawbacks but it's great that he's following full KS3 curriculum to take IGCSE's, subject teachers and small classes with lovely students from all over the world (and also fairly nearby!). Best of all he loves it even though school never closes for snow!

Lovely to see lots of messages and support for you. Yes, there's no shortage of courses and fantastic midwives in East Dulwich so I'm sure you'll soon feel much more confident! I run Hypnobirthing classes in Clapham for groups and in Herne Hill privately as well as going to people's homes. I'd love to tell you more about the course as the techniques will give you the confidence and trust that you really can have an easy, comfortable birth. It's amazing and really works. Our son has recently started with InterHigh, an online school which is a fab compromise between the rigidity of traditional school and the total freedom (and responsibility!) of homeschooling. He is Yr 8 and hated mainstream school, but is now confident, interested and enjoying school. He has 8 subjects thro the week, lovely teachers and classmates (class of 15 kids, several living abroad) and it really suits kids who flourish on more freedom and independance and parents who don't want to fully homeschool (would have been disastrous for us). Contact me if you'd like a chat ... I want to tell people about this option as we would have been seriously stuck if we hadn't come across this by chance!
