  1. Even I'm getting asked the question, I'm not sure why Cloudflare's suddenly started asking but fortunately it's a simple tick box and not an annoying "enter the text from the unreadable picture on the left". It might be that it's seen some unusual activity and it's stepping up security for a while.
  2. I's a good point and unfortunately it's not really something we can do much about. We make a rule about keeping it East Dulwich centric but we can't monitor the For Sale section to make sure that happens.
  3. This thread is heading towards the Lounge if it doesn't get back on topic
  4. Hi, have you got the word bump in the text?
  5. Hi Thanks for your message, it's lovely. Please could you forward one of these emails saying that you have a new pm to admin@eastdulwichforum.co.uk Also to stop being logged into the site you have to click the log out button.
  6. Hi What email address do these emails informing you about PMs go to?
  7. Not really, it's because there was/is this weirdo who every now and then posts messages like "I'M SINGLE AND A VIRGIN AND WHY DOES NO ONE LISTEN TO ME!!!!!" and so to stop him temporarily one evening we blocked the word virgin. I've taken it off now.
  8. In response: The thread in question veered off topic, you made me aware and by that time the thread was back on topic so there was no need for a "please stay on topic" request. As for people taking personal digs at others, if people put discussion comments out about what they do then they can expect people to discuss what they do, especially if there are inconsistencies. The fact that it happens to the same person frequently can make it feel like a herd attack, however if someone frequently presents themselves as prey what can we learn from that? We do keep an eye on trolling when we are made aware of it, contrary to what you think we don't read every post. Also we have different rule books Louisa, mine is for the best of the forum as a whole and not to benefit specific individuals such as yourself. And goading me does you no favours.
  9. I have just turned on a module that allows me to add a poll to the first message on a thread. I have never used it before and it comes as-is out the box. I don't know if it works or is any good but we can see. One issue is that people would have ask me to add a poll and I can't see me doing it too often.
  10. And to reiterate this guy is a suspect and the police would like to speak to him. This picture is not saying he is the burglar.
  11. Hi It's fine with me but please check with slartji(?) as well. Thank you for asking too.
  12. It had too many personal details that should not be given out on a public forum.
  13. I'm locking this because there is already a thread about cat killings http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1636757
  14. I think the time has now come to Lounge this. Actually the time was a while ago and I've been dithering because it's been going on and off topic but time's up. There is a sensible thread about this so please use that.
  15. Despite a warning to behave, Edborders has now been banned.
  16. edborders, consider this a warning, stop the personal attacks on people or you will be permanently banned. edborders Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- ... > > I know you are bitter old woman who's husband left > her for her best friend and now you spend your > days and nights in your drafty council flat (you > lost the house to gambling and booze) in front of > the computer. > > Lewis Schaffer > Had planters fascitis in 2015

You posted it in the general ED issues section so it was removed.
  18. That Guardian page links to the forum, that means lots of traffic and a slightly slower forum.
  19. Good point ed_pete, please stay on topic of the Copleston Road / Oglander road jcn. Other traffic infringement discussions are available elsewhere on this forum.
  20. I think it's because the Lounge section doesn't have a page title that Google can reference in the code, so Google picks up something else. Why it picks up Keef and Narnia I don't know.
  21. Ah, so it's the Google Search results showing up Keef in their quick links. https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?q=east%20dulwich%20forum#newwindow=1&q=east+dulwich+forum I'm not sure why that is, I'll see if I can change it through Google's Webmaster Tools.
  22. Here you go... (Edited to add apologies this wasn't the first mention of the phrase, please skip to the next posts in this thread) 5/27/2009 11:25 PM Username: SE22JAM Subject: Re: Lunch at the Vale Forum: General ED issues / gossip Link: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,279511,280760#msg-280760 I had a great evening out on the lane, hope everyone else had a good Wednesday evening too. I had a great time checking out mid week offerings of the pubs in ED. It was a surprisingly miserable evening and the football was on, we started by taking shelter from the rain in The Vale which was totally lacking in atmosphere, such an uncomfortable place to be especially when it?ss damp and cold outside and a tantalizingly short trot to the bright lights of the lane. The beer is relatively cheap in there but a bit too flat for me and at nearly ?3.00 for a pint and some rather dubious clientele to boot it seemed to offer very little in the way of value for money. We then headed down to the EDT and although the beer is better, the staff were extremely busy dealing with the overload of rowdy Man U supporters and we soon gave up the wait and moved on. So infuriating. Next stop was The Bishop. The football was being screened at the back end of the bar with the sound turned down so as not to detract from the general atmosphere which was great. I must say I don?t really head down that way much but I had an excellent time. I saw the match whilst enjoying a decent conversation with my friends and then we headed out into the back yard for a fag and a chat with Clarence. I read somewhere that there was a new chef there (or am I confusing it with The Vale?). Anyway, it was excellent, I had the steak burger and my veggie Aussie friend had the aubergine burger, both of which were top notch and very reasonably priced. It really was fantastic. The staff were so friendly, it was busy but not once did I feel crushed or devalued. I will certainly head down there more often. Roll on the next mid week evening out!
  23. Weird, are you able to send a screenshot? You can email it to admin@eastdulwichforum.co.uk if it's easier.
