  2. Surely this was British TVs finest hour? It was for me anyway.. I'd just hit thirteen.
  3. Parents should hold-out as long as is deemed respectable, but there comes a time when denying your boy a telly in the bedroom is tantamount to abuse.
  4. I've never been 'encouraged' with a guitar before. Looking forward to it.
  5. There's an opening at my office, Keef. I need someone to make toast and occasionally adjust a headphone strap.
  6. Good on him, I say. Loathe though they are to admit it, Australians moan more about their own weather than the English do about theirs. Surely it can't really matter that much whether it's 31 or 32 degrees today? Either way it's too hot and you're sweating like a pig before you've even applied six layers of suncream, found your hat and sunnies and walked out of your front door.

  8. Looks like myself and Growlybear are the only two (so far) who think that putting your ladder up the 8 foot wall and climbing up with a 12foot plank with a mark at 3ft and 4ft from the top is a somewhat strange way of asking your neighbours to stop throwing fag butts over your fence. Anyone else?

  10. How would they zip together? Like paper-chain men? Or one on top of the other (with a velcro window for easy genital access)?

  13. I suspect that the website promotional pictures (slim man in 'Kill Bill' coloured-suit adopting a range of hip-hop style poses) may not match-up to the reality.
  14. Are you a 'feel the cold' person, Quinnie? Does your other 'arf have to sit there in winter, central heating on full blast, down to his pants and vest, sweating cobs whilst you're wearing a polo-neck and scarf and still a bit chilly?
  15. Put a jumper on instead, maybe?
  16. Bossman Just my personal opinion: there's nothing wrong with having another regular-type offie on LL (Lord knows Thresher is a bit rubbish) - but every time I see the 'organic' bit up there in lights, I just walk straight past. Why? Because it just feels like a cash-in.. and - in turn - that makes me feel like a mug for going in there. A stoopid reason not to go in a shop, but there it is.
  17. Head for 'Selbourne Village', knock on some doors and ask for 'Alan' - that's my real name.
  18. Searching for the Young Soul Rebels by Dexys Midnight Runners. I'm wearing a frock in honour of Kevin Rowland too.
  19. Actually I'd completely forgotten about that. And, as it happens, there will be a 'Scotch' element amongst the guests. So I suppose we'll all be hearing that bloody poem again before the night is out.
  20. I'm more of a Cinzano man, Mockney.. alas I'm doing dinner for ten Chez *Bob* ce soir.
  21. two hats? twohats? twhats tw*ts? Do I win a prize?
  22. That probably wasn't much help. Try this.. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,73473,81584#msg-81584
  23. Need a second-hand car, Bolty? Get yourself down to the forecourt. Cars from ?599. And speaker cable.
  24. On that occasion, I thought I'd leave the way clear for someone else. Glad you stepped-in, Mockney.
  25. Are you sure this isn't a script from "Yes Minister"?
