I should blimming well hope not young lady. We had quite enough of that sort of thing when the late Johnny Thunders used to come on here. Heartbreaking it was.

Only our money, provided our chicks are free of course.
  4. Doctor.
  5. I'm with you on CDs, of course I know The Small Faces and am aware of the schmuckish nature of PJ & Duncan. After that you lose me, I'm afraid. Never mind though.

Take a stroll around the Goose Green end of Lordship Lane of a Saturday afternoon and pass a few disparaging remarks about the proliferation of babies, them generally being too noisy and specifically the buggies getting in your way. Them mothers will f*ck your sh!t up sooner'n you can say 'I'm from Swansea, me'. You'll know you've been in a fight, believe me I've seen what those Cafe Nerro lids can do. It hardly ever happens though. Hardly ever. Just be judicious about eye contact with mothers. Especially them evil mothers. Anyway JOhnL welcome to the EDF and good to have you on board.
  8. Groucho Marx to Margaret Dumont - 'I'll give you pearls, clothes, that's if Pearl's clothes fit a horse like you' As funny, less funny or funnier than the OP? What are the odds?
  9. Tinned goods without a ring-pull, meaning I have to employ my terrible old butterly can opener. Mushy peas from anywhere would appear to be the biggest offenders. Christ, I don't ask for much. Would a ring-pull bloody kill you?
  10. David Watts - The Jam
  11. RosieH I've only seen Glee once for 15 minutes. I don't care about none of them things you said about neither no more, but I reckon I know who Sue Sylvester is. The stern slinky tracksuit one, right? If I may, after you with the lips and tongue. I say this in a non-pervy kind of fashion. At least no pervier than your good self.

Whereas I > personally wouldn't hold a bag snatcher as overly > serious. I doubt that anyone would give ED a swerve on the basis of a couple of muggings. Bur muggings they were. I think any robbery is serious for the victim, a little empathy please. And what ranks highest on your crime scale? A punch or punches can potentially cause as much damage as a baseball bat, a knife can be more deadly than a gun. A snatched bag can have an appalling effect on a senior citizen, it can rob them of more than possessions, their self-confidence and independence can be taken as well. Next you'll be telling us domestic burglary is nothing more than a crime against property. Pah!

After due consideration, I think perhaps I'll get my coat. But the OP's point and warning still is a good one.

  19. Wasn't eater81 being satirical, albeit applying the satire in much the same plentiful and heavy-handed fashion as a brickie applies his muck to a run of bricks? I think it's OK to mention these things, the implication by R&A that these weren't violent crimes is daft, or is it just me? The criminals were not requesting the possesions of the people in question, there was an implicit, if not overt threat of violence, which makes it a violent crime by my reckoning. Both victims female. Cowards selecting soft targets. Katcincoop, thanks for the post.

  21. I don't know Narnia, I did some sink washing (hah! Simon) earlier today and the rain forests only crossed my thoughts, while gazing at the wall (and believe me the thoughts weren't up to much anyway) once. Briefly, if not momentarily. I'm not going to say I shrugged and thought 'f*ck 'em', but I did go back a bit sharpish to considering which episode of series 7 of Curb Your Enthusiam I was going to re-watch when I was finished. Maybe if I had a dishwasher I wouldn't be as shallow as sink water and might spend more time concerning myself with the rainforest rather than the travails of Larry David. I'm going to give this some thought.

Ian was playing at the Barbican on June 1st so I should had a bit more cop on about me and attended. Still the Barbican show was quite possibly his best in recent years, so, oh well. #I rememnber all the good times, me and Miller enjoyed, up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy...# All American Alien Boy - ian Hunter.
  24. Calling it 'corrie'? I haven't watched it for a long time, too many overated youths in it for my taste, but I wouldn't disparage it with that abreviant. Think on.
