  1. Raining In My Heart - Buddy Holly
  2. Some years ago I worked with someone, who if an arguement wasn't going his way would insist that the other person was "changing the golf posts"
  3. I Love The Sound Of Breaking Glass - Nick Lowe
  4. Green pesto. It's as though it's trying to have fight with your mouth. I didn't agree with too much George Costanza had to say but he got it right there.
  5. The Flaming Groovies versions of Werewolves Of London and Absolutely Sweet Marie are top-hole I think.
  6. "Whatever" - particularly when used in an insolent fashion. OK no proper reply, just the three three syllables then.
  7. Love To Love You - Donna Summer
  8. And often if you're in an arguement with a long distance lorry driver the best way to cow him is by threatening his vehicle.
  9. One from the blue book there, I think.
  10. Goodbye To Jane - Slade (Nod-like genius)

What, do people use this instead of "For all intents and purposes" or do they actually use it as you wrote? This is a new one on me, although now it's been mentioned I'll listen to people a little more attentively from now on.
  12. Actually if the quality of the food was on a par with the quality of the toys, then you'd be talking some good victuals. I remember seeing some of The Bash Street Kid models and they were triff.
  13. Yes SM I wanted to like 'em but their music defeats me. As for the 'turning' I 'm flattered of course but honestly you're alright thanks.
  14. 'By and large' - I sometimes hear myself using it, but it doesn't make any sense really, does it?
  15. The Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl is the Michael Palin of loud pop and everything, as nice a fellow as you could wish to meet of a May morning, but the music, awful.
  16. Doesn't it depend on what you used it for? If it was stuffed full of books or similar heavy objects it might reasonably be expected to tear. What did you use it for and did G & F only say that they weren't liable or did they qualify it in some way? Edited - Obviously Siduhe's and my posts overlapped somewhat.
  17. I used to go there, great boozer, pintable, v.good juke box and a good atmos. A little less 'of the people' than the Castle but not gentrified either. I miss it.
  18. Hey Jude - The Beatles
