I was pleased that Glade air freshener - which has been ?1.30 in there for a few years - is now locked down to ?1. The same price as in Wilko's. Progress!

Gadge said "1) Install on both east and west side of roof so you have a good level of power throughout the day." SOUTH is the best direction for your solar panels to face!

ww2 Barrage Balloon in grounds of Alleyn's school

I believe there may have also been an anti-aircraft battery on the main school site, perhaps near the back of the houses on Playfield crescent? -
ww2 Barrage Balloon in grounds of Alleyn's school
Townleygreen replied to Rocky742's topic in The Lounge
Rocky asked: Does anyone have any info on the balloon that was in the school grounds in ww2? I believe it was based in what is now the school's Memorial garden, located on the corner of Townley and Calton - it's a triangular space. -
Gary, you're unlikely to get an answer to your question, because you've randomly stuck it a thread/topic that doesn't relate to it. It would be best to start a new thread - called maybe Lordship Lane station? - and copy your question in that. Just a thought! TG

Alleyn's school neighbors - good or bad?
Townleygreen replied to RubyGraeme's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Apologies in advance for the pedantry! Old Alleynian refers to Dulwich College not Alleyn's. Confusing, I know. I think they're known as Alleyn's Old Boys/Girls. -
Are houses selling around here at all?
Townleygreen replied to James's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
James said: Our house looks great, and is sensibly priced. It's not selling. So we need to decide how much of a hit we can take on the price. Which is not a great situation to be in. Hopefully the house you're buying will take a similar hit, so you won't be any worse off? -
Tragic. Very sad news indeed. RIP Buddug.

Penge East is used by many Sydenham-ites as it's closer than Syd Hill to most of the inhabitants who wish to get to Brixton, Victoria etc.
