  14. Hello Italian friends! We have just come back from 3 days in Dungerness. We used to go there all the time wild camping but havent visited for a few years. going back makes you reaalise what a wierd wonderful landscape it is around there. even the nuclear power station adds to the atmosphere ! not far from London if you have a car . You also have tacky sea side towns near which are actually quite good (if you like charity shops and fish and chips for lunch!) https://www.mylifelongholiday.com/dungeness-guide/
  15. Consult about what ? If is was private land it would be built by now . If there aren't any planning issues what are they consulting on? Do you want it ? ... no I live next door. No I dont? Dont get me wrong we have council land next to us which i would be fighting for eedevelionent if it happens but it's a planning issue

Hi sue . Good question! Touche! I really don't freaking know . I've had enough of Brexit and if the east dulwich forum cant sort it out gawd knows how any government can . Cant we just forget about the referendum and move on ?

Ok sue . Fair point . It was an amazing day but can you honestly say that was representative of the UK population or London population? I suppose what I'm trying to say is politicians have to win hearts and minds of people that weren't marching .those communities that see all their high streets closing etc . Take a look up around London and tell me that reflected in the demographic of the March. ?

I went to the March on Saturday. It was amazing but depressing to see basically one demographic there .. my age , my class, my race . Being a northerner living a now comfortable middle class lifestyle in London how does ANY solution please all of the population ? Cameron should be blamed for making the country vote heads or tails
  20. Toberlone next? Now that would be a feat
  21. Let's all be honest . The solution is to charge for landfill waste .the more you use the more you pay We all have a responsibility. Of course politically and practically it would never work .
  22. Although how on earth it is managed will probably offset any 'profit' . At least with current arrangement the bin men know to go to every house rather than try and find the ones that pay . To agree southwark is generally quite good. Used to live in lewisham and going to their tip was a nightmare.
  23. Net income of 330k ? How much does it cost to collect the garden waste? Tbh we use ours a lot as we are avid gardeners . Many people aren't or haven't got the opportunity. Thirty quid a year seems reasonable to me
  24. Like many organisations there are good staff and bad staff . Just like cllrs. Officers in the council don't make policy . They simply try to what cllrs deem fit. Some times this is reactionary to a few vocal tenants and residents . It's a tough job trying to please everybody
  25. Thanks sue . I'll try . Another bugbear is I've heard that the bins are actually imported from Holland and not from recycled plastic . We try out very best 're waste the recycling bin is full so is garden waste
