  1. My bugbear is the size of the bloody things. Annoyingly if you have three they are just to big to line up neatly on an average front garden . Surely they should be smaller to account for you are using 3 separate bins
  2. Great cause but southwark council is based at the town hall in Peckham these days . 160 tooley street. And probably best to picket India or China or ...Chelsea
  3. I too was taken aback at the quid babychino! But rmcsmf makes one good point . It's probably costs the cafe a quid to clean up after the mess my little angel makes after it despite my best efforts to tidy up .
  4. Imagine. A long long time ago for most of us. . Your a dj,a musician , snow actor . A poet or simply someone who wants to earn some money when they aren't going out. Sometimes you call work and say you can't face it sometimes they say they don't need you. . That is life
  5. Dulwich fox/sue May I suggest a charity boxing match between you too or something. Please let's focus on the matter at hand and if DFOR if you don't leave east Dulwich and go to the IHead it's literally nothing to do with you
  6. Fixed hours contracts work both ways. If you sign up to it you gotta work it . This isn't some faceless multi national exploiting it's workers. Go to any other pub and I'm sure the staff would be amazed and the terms of employment for sessional bar staff at the oh. Please give the committee a little credit
  7. Well said Joe leg . I suspect that the union request was a culmination of a number of factors . Tbh the service and attentiveness to detail has been going downhill steadily . I got the impression some staff felt like they were doing me a favour serving me sometimes
  8. And before everyone blames the committee . Without the committee there would not be a ivy house for you to sit and moan about the committee in
  9. Maybe get both sides of the story before jumping to conclusions. The ivy house is a London living wage employer btw
  10. We have an induction range cooker and never looked back . It's always worth having the option of the extra ring and second oven is good when you want to keep food warm . Induction is much easier to keep clean ..life is too short to clean gas hobs.

  12. Who's idea to allow a licence for those . They are dumped everywhere. What a ridiculous concept
  13. This always works for us. And brilliant for adults to https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=hey+duggee&oq=hey+dugfe&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l3.5880j0j4&client=ms-android-orange-gb&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
  14. A grest addition to the park and I'm sure the newly extended cafe will be rubbing their hands with glee (Shame the council gave it to a chain ..anyway let's hope they up their game). We have an 18 month old and after initial concerns about all those nasty slippery hard boulders had to check ourselves and think that's why parents need to supervise their kids do think fence should of been higher. Suspect high jinks and anti social behaviour going on after dark . But well done
  15. I was (and am still 90 percent) all for it . It was a nice event attended by lots of people (I went) . I accept that some people found it disturbing but as one poster said building works ,strumming of gardens and general family life is equally so . Let's see what the park looks like in a month and make judgement then . I've seen the rye after the circus and it was the same
  16. I got woken up my someone putting their bins out too late at night once as well . And don't start me on the screeching foxes that sometimes disturb me
  17. Perhaps because you live in Peckham? Lots of (different) people went and enjoyed themselves and that's what a community is about living in London and what is needed. There was a wide range of people mixing and laughing and yes drinking(and probably some off their heads) but it was a summers day listening to great music and coming together. I love that park and walk my dog 3 times a day there but come on its for everyone . And if you live close enough to hear it . Congrats you must have a massive house so well done !
  18. It happened. It was good and a wide range of people enjoying themselves. And the world didn't end
  19. Just don't tell anyone else he plays this stuff T
  20. Indeed sue . And horace Andy on Monday apparently at the regaee festival . That will get the keyboard warriors spurting horlicks over their laptops . Come on people we live in Peckham bring it on .
  21. It's not exactly the downfall of democracy as alleged by Lee in his rather enflated email . It's a relatively small festival with some really good djs at a good price . That closes at 11 ! Yes I agree I'm confused why the common wasn't picked, why signs are saying drop off and pick off point is directing people to the tiny car park and why the weekend is when train stations are closed. But its a good edition to Peckham. Lee get a ticket (and take Louisa ) you may enjoy yourselves ! (Make sure you check out Mr scruff) . There is plenty of park for everyone. I think most people that are going are from the relatively local area and will be a good mix of people and ages . It's not every weekend for gods sake .
  22. blanche.. Im giving you the benefit of the doubt and I think you care about the environment but slightly misguided. pls concentrate you efforts on the beautiful space we have that isn't marked as cemetery . Lewis. Ive encountered you and im sorry you can do one,,
  23. By far the best is brockley rock . Over the train tracks but amazing . Well amazing as fish and chips can get .
  24. for gods sake everyone . give it a rest . there are more important things to worry about.
