Thank you diable rouge, I needed a good laugh this morning! On a serious note Lavender, could it be the central heating pipes and radiators?

I'm not Admin, but please do not waste the non-urgent police line's time. This is a civil matter not a police matter, unless you believe that the item was stolen. Private buyers of second hand items have fewer rights as opposed to buying something from a retailer. THe CAB has a consumer helpline: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/get-more-help/if-you-need-more-help-about-a-consumer-issue/ You can also look at this helpful guide (last updated in Sep 2018) - https://www.saga.co.uk/magazine/money/spending/consumer-rights/what-are-your-rights-when-buying-second-hand-goods

Just in case he belongs to or is known to anyone on the Forum - This is a story in the Italian press which I have just seen this morning about a male ginger cat found wandering in Peckham on 15th October 2018 with an angry expression (hence the story) which was taken to the RSPCA at Southall (https://www.facebook.com/rspcasouthallcattery). They are treating him for injuries which they believe were caused by a car and, once better, are intending to put him up for adoption. More photos in article. Latest update: 5.10am today Low pressure or no water Last updated Monday 5th November 2018 - 05:10. Our teams have successfully completed the repair and are now in the process of putting the repaired pipe back into use. Customers in the area will notice lower pressure than normal, but this will slowly increase as the water pressure builds up in the area. If you are in a flat or high rise building, it will take slightly longer to build up and return to normal. If your water is cloudy, this is quite normal following our repairs but it's best to run your cold kitchen tap for a few minutes once your water is back on. To find out more visit our help page here - https://www.thameswater.co.uk/help-and-advice/water-quality/cloudy-water Should you require bottled water, it remains available for collection from 08:30hrs at the below location: Straker's Road, SE15 3UA Click here to view on map Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. carrier bags - what do you do with yours?

I donate mine to Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers (www.sdcas.org.uk) - they use them for packing food parcels for clients. -

I had terrible second hand smoke problems with my former upstairs neighbours developing a chronic cough as well as coping with the unpleasant smell etc.- http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,1919971,1920108#msg-1920108 - I ended up buying hepa air purifiers for the two rooms afffected and they helped a lot. There is a lot of advice online as it seems to be a common problem and lots of discussion forums discuss options. However, it does seem to be a really tough problem to remedy - smoke often passes through electrical sockets and around pipework and not only through gaps.

So sorry to hear about that. I hope he is feeling ok now - nasty experience, especially when it's getting dark. I'm glad he had help when he needed it - there are still some upstanding, brave, good people out there. -

Oh, I'd be pretty p'd off if someone corrected me after a long day as well. It wasn't really necessary, especially given some of the howlers I see on the Forum. -

Iris Shop Lordship Lane Drilling all night...
IlonaM replied to kirstieEllie's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
You can ask the shop management/the workmen/council noise team whether they had a dispensation (Section 61 consent) to undertake construction outside normal hours and then take action if necessary (ie complaint etc.). See https://www.southwark.gov.uk/noise-and-antisocial-behaviour/construction-noise -
Sadly not. I was trying to see the plates on the car parked across our gate, but the plate was obscured by railings. The other car's plate was not visible from my angle and the incident was quite quick. Local cctv might have picked them up though.

Reported it immediately online.

I have just witnessed what appeared to be a drug hand-over between two cars (one parked and one pausing as passing by) towards the LL/Horniman end of Underhill. Has anyone else noticed that this is happening on Underhill?
