Changes to your train times from Monday
JohnL replied to A Cinderella Line's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm thinking about just being able to get on the 8:34 or 9:04 (I think that's the only through trains - there seem to be a 8:44 and 9:14 going to Blackfriars) at Peckham Rye on Monday - I fear filled platforms and commuters held outside the station next week. We'll see though. I notice some trains seem to terminate at Denmark Hill too - sorry Thameslink - people don't catch trains to benefit the many. The people going to Denmark Hill can't be forced to catch that one as you seem to imagine. -

Thameslink obviously have no interest in inner London as customers. -

No confessions by torture or head chopping thanks. Just good police intelligence and catch them in the act. If necessary bring back indeterminate sentences (I'm sure May would love that one) or just chip everyone :) -

There's could be chaos on Monday - I wouldn't be surprised the entrances are shut - hope the management are prepared. -
She had successes. The liberalisation of pub hours was a great success IMHO. We used to get them in the hour before last orders and pile out in the streets at the same time as all the other pub goers piled out into the streets. There were quite a few fights. I just don't see that happen now (although could be age LOL) Olympics 2012 was the best time for the UK - when Brexit was just a twinkle in Nigel Farage's eye. We actually felt united.

Peckham Rye's been hit it seems - Half stop at Blackfriars :( -
The new bike shop under Co-Operative House, Rye Lane seems to have a Cafe section when I poked my nose in (opens 21st). The Bike Cafe - sounds like a hipster joint :) Dual use seems to be the thing this year.

Not having a lot to do with is not against though, Just that you don't have much in common so are not going to make friends. If you were the boss though you don't promote on friendships.

That's not good enough - I'd suspect (if I was alone) they just didn't want single men (some don't). Why not just be honest - it's so much easier "we have a staffing issue".

One of the good ones.

Anyway whenever I've complained about anything I usually get an apology from the manager I've complained to however spurious or trivial the complaint (I think it's the standard response, even before any proof is available) In my youth I was always too scared to complain about anything and got treated like a doormat because of it.
-
If a complaint was logged to the police it will be logged as a hate incident (a hate incident is not a crime - just basically when a complaint is logged) Amber Rudd's speech at the Tory party conference was logged as a hate incident. https://fullfact.org/crime/hate-incidents-arent-same-hate-crimes/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8qTNtPSE2wIVqrftCh1FkQGgEAAYASAAEgIq-PD_BwE

Somehow this reminds me of the incident with the Marriot, Swansea and The Southampton Football Team - that rebounded on Swansea LOL. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/southampton-fans-mercilessly-troll-swansea-14635477 Mind you trip advisor and trustpilot are your friends, you will go from being ignored/patronised to being listened too very quickly if you write that 1 star trust pilot review. Similarly if you write to the CEO of the parent company your problem just goes away very quickly. Then you modify the review to "issue resolved with the help xxxx". It's capitalism in action surely. Edit: It's VERY important to modify the reviews you put once you're satisfied (or post on here if you complained on here) - that's the carrot

Has he got nothing better to do LOL. I cleaned the oven, washed some clothes and hoovered the floor. Spammer just created 10 threads, sad.

I thought the Capitol closed - still open though - but could so easily get the same atmosphere as the Prince of Wales in Cardiff ( a lovely spoons pub) if it was tidied.

Where the Kings on the Rye was is a lovely spot for a pub - and in the day that would have looked out over the old Peckham Lido. But I hear rumours about that pub before it closed, dark things (before my time) :) The Grove will be a huge loss if it disappears permanently without any kind of replacement (even if some of it becomes something else).

There's an ethics issue at some point though (wherever the line gets drawn) - Many evil policies in other countries histories were the will of that countries people but the culprits still get punished eventually and "will of the people" is no defence. This UN expert says we may have passed that line. https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/theresa-mays-hostile-environment-is-destroying-the-lives-of-ethnic-minority-britons-warns-un-expert_uk_5af57ca9e4b00d7e4c19b881

Some Central/North areas have 500+. I notice (North) Peckham has 19 - one of the lowest.
