    grape/fruit

Indian grapes in April may - and they weren't nice Now it's Egyptian ones that aren't much better. I like the European and South African ones - still hoping they come into season.
  3. The Wales players actually got a bit stroppy because no fans were allowed to Amsterdam and a few things were said - I think they found it galling all the neutrals favoured Denmark and it felt like the most away of away games. Also they're a bit fed up of Baku. Doesn't really make much headlines though - except in the Wales on Sunday.
  4. Mostly they just sing '3 lions on a shirt' these days when I see them (I guess I'm lucky). Reminds me of the Germans singing their version of it after winning Euro96 at Wembley. Not sure what the German version translated as.

Take the headlines > that 50% of Delta variant cases in Israel are from > fully vaccinated people. This sounds bad but is > exactly what you?d expect with 85% of the adult > population vaccinated and a 90% is vaccine > efficiency. Yep - that's the bit we're going to have to live with until the cases fall.
  6. Boris now claims he sacked Hancock https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/captain-hindsight-pm-appears-to-have-changed-his-story-on-hancock-s-departure/ar-AALxORi?ocid=winp1taskbar This reminds me of an ex-president.

There's the general chat from the football club - called "the bear pit" - which talks about just this stuff - and brexit etc. https://www.northstandchat.com/forumdisplay.php?87-The-Bear-Pit

  10. Well I assume the powers that be knew already. He either admitted it to them long ago or they found out.

JohnL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > He can now spend more time with his App > > https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-42902684 I missed this bit - a new suspect emerges (The App writer) "Some Apple smartphone users fear their privacy has been compromised after responding to an on-screen prompt asking for access to their photo library. The app then appears to gain access to the photo library whether the user denies access or not." I'll add that suspect to the others - the wife, the boss, the disgruntled ex SPAD, the rest of the UK population.

  13. If the papers (and it's the Mail leading) don't have a string of things to follow up on I'd be surprised. There will be no "leak" investigation either. You do wonder who's behind this.
  14. It's going to be like pulling his fingernails out one by one until he quits. Full video out today.
  15. I guess @Snowy means in the "Created & Maintained by"

  17. Strange how memories go - I listed Gummer as an example of a scandal but I must have been wrong so deleted it - all I can find is - "At the Suffolk Boat Show on 16 May 1990, then agriculture secretary John Gummer tried to feed his four-year-old daughter Cordelia a burger. THE STUNT backfired horribly. Cordelia refused to eat it and the whole incident only heightened concern about BSE and reinforced public cynicism about politicians? pronouncements on food safety." who sucked the toe - was it Mellor ?
  18. He's apologised but not going to resign even though he broke COVID rules. Interesting how different this is from John Major's years - no-one cares he's having an affair (it's his own business) - but everyone cares if he's appointed someone because "she's a mate" or broken COVID rules.
  19. Strong Britain song - I don't like it myself and I note a former England Hooker is dead set against it on twitter. Just heard the founder of OBON on Sky "This is not political, the DfE is not involved but I am so grateful to Gavin Williamson" That still doesn't work well with 50% of the country and he doesn't seem to see it. Anyway - Who's children are singing it today ?
  20. Not what I'm saying - I stand up for T in LGBT and the rights of Trans women and men. But if there's an issue we need to deal with it pragmatically WITHOUT making it a general Transphobic thing.
  21. If I wanted my moles tested I'd probably pay for a dermatologist as there's hundreds and they all flare up occasionally. I can't see a GP being interested if I got worried.
  22. On Sky News Now "Sports are not divided up by categories other than sex" - I think that's the sports scientist guy quoted earlier in this thread. But they are in the Paralympics - and that is a real success.
  23. I mean - what would someone want with him. Any contracts going for me ?

    GB News

Warner should let CNN come on and run it properly - knock some heads together
  25. What I'm saying is we have a set of problems in front of us - why not just solve them as problems.
