Inner Londoners still gradually moving to Outer Boroughs and the Home Counties - not sure whether it will have an effect eventually or even if they turn Tory :)

Actually I think I was right - peace has broken out and Boris was possibly pre-empting Daily Express headlines as we (as the winners previously) will have to help the EU with it's supplies in reality. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/uk-eu-covid-vaccine-dispute-deal-b926100.html He has no choice really as not to help out would see him as a heartless PM so the agreement will be that more of the supplies made in the EU will stay there at a guess.
  3. I think Boris's "greed" remarks might have been aimed at Tory MPs to prepare them that we may have to share more available vaccines with the EU once we have done groups 1-9. or he might just have been talking rubbish :)
  4. some people have a way of speaking and they aren't speaking to you personally in that way.
  5. The Walrus referred to in the Original Post seems to be a welsh immigrant after staying for a while in Ireland https://www.westerntelegraph.co.uk/news/19177858.lovely-pictures-pembrokeshires-wandering-walrus/#gallery0

I gather that after a quick check.

  8. Ireland seems to continue attracting drugs and tech companies - strangely (or maybe more cleverly not) we don't here much about them in the current vaccine war. https://www.wsj.com/articles/this-economy-grew-faster-than-china-thanks-to-big-tech-pharma-11614951060
  9. It's a different coffee for a atart never mind the rest of the conspiracy theory. ?A uniquely Australian coffee, slightly stronger than a latte, with steamed milk,? says Starbucks? Australian website.
  10. It's only a leaderboard :) Sexton: "Sir, he elbowed me in the face." Genge: "Yeah I did. I did."

On Sky News this morning Ian Blackford to Sky Niall "I heard you speaking to your studio this morning saying you were going to give me a kicking" But he looks like butter couldn't melt in his mouth

They have but the definition of failure is repeating the same actions and expecting a different result - so we'll see.
  14. So if/when a second vaccine is required due to a mutation - who has the orders in first EU, UK or USA. It seems to be a race - although I still think it should be a co-ordination approach as if we'd done that there would be probably no need for a second vaccine.
  15. and of course at any time Nigel Owens as supreme refereeing person is allowed to blow his whistle, run in, and change any decision at all at any time. https://punditarena.com/rugby/eoin-harte/nigel-owens-liam-williams-not-sin-binned/
  16. The danger is from abroad now - so should that be the priority rather than under 50s in the UK. Someone should be able to do an analysis of which is more of a threat to us and which helps more - making sure there is help abroad and so less chance of a mutation there or further vaccination at home. I'm not suggesting either but someone should know.
  17. Vaughan Gething the Welsh health minister just wound up the series of Covid briefings in Wales basically saying it's over - see you again. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/live-updates-health-minister-vaughan-20226639 (it might seem premature - but if you watched his press conference he was very bouyant) And if it is over (groups 1-9 done) should we morally now be prioritising vaccines for countries less fortunate.
  18. I cut my old sofa up over a week - cushions/straps removed/ used a sharp knife, started sawing into the body and got it down to a pile of wood :) Oh and I used a hand saw - as I wanted to keep my limbs. Worst bit was loads of little plastic balls (tiny) that I had to hoover a few times to get off the floor. Brought a new one from Snug Sofa who make special sofas for flats like mine (in a box)
  19. Huw Edwards got told to take that down - but that just made it go viral as you can tell it's a nice photo and flag :)
  20. The latest in the culture war is flags - I'm never really going to support flying the British flag in political situations as I come from a time when we said only countries with little confidence in themselves did that (and yes at that time it was blatantly a nudge nudge wink wink look down at the US) - strange how that same attitude is now disparaged and all ministers need a flag and/or a portrait of the Queen. I do tend to fly the Welsh flag which seems different as it's not really political even though the Welsh Government uses it - the whole country owns it.
  21. Johnson just grins like a little boy when he lies - and people think it's endearing. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/jun/21/boris-johnson-lies-marcus-rashford-prime-minister
  22. Pritti Patel has been accused of misleading parliament again but the Pritster seems to never come unstuck. It seems like a weekly occurrence for her :) ) https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/priti-patel-barracks-asylum-seekers-yvette-cooper-b1815973.html
  23. Beware low flying motorbikes.
  24. Ahhh Sky News update. The leaked (and it is only leaked) report says she misled parliament, the guidelines say you should resign if you KNOWINGLY mislead parliament. The fix is in :) Although of course nobody resigns over misleading anybody about anything these days - it's just how politics works..
