Hello All, I'm about to have a new kitchen fitted (kithen chosen/plan drawn up) and whilst I believe that the contractor will do a good job, it doesnt seem like he is used to having a formal agreement/contract in place before the works commence!! I dont see how I could proceed without having more than a few emails as an agreement between us - am I missing something? Am I expecting too much? What happens if things should go wrong?? Does anyone have a basic template or could point me to a useful website where I can create something for this purpose/ Thanks, OD

titch juicy - spot on re 12 years a Slave - I was so moved, some very powerful, hard to watch scenes which had absolutely no brutal violence in them. If people who watched this film saw only a film about abuse - physical and verbal, then IMO they have totally missed the point. As for sighting Roots... sigh.... Hadnt thought about going to see Dallas Buyers Club...will do though!

Jonsuissy - thank you for posting that you are ok, I was on a bus and saw the scene of the accident on Sunday and did think 'I hope that person is OK'. The police were directing the traffic and ambulance was on scene by the time I went passed.

The guy 'looked' the part until he opened his mouth, if he had stayed, expecially after that performance then it would've been a fix!!! Rough Copy, Sam Bailey and Hannah are all quite talented I think!

Thank God he went home this week, it was long overdue. Anything less would have definitely been a 'fix'!

Hello! I do that route every morning! The service is good from Peckham Rye (no service going through Denmark hill tunnel and sometimes flaky at the actual station), all the way until you enter into City Thameslink, then no service until the second set of escalators when leaving St Pancras station!! I usually listen to the radio, when there is no service, i'm checking my emails which have downloaded to my phone...I suspect people are doing the smae or watching video content or playing games.... I've not really seen people taking calls though.

I love my Metro accounts, I have both debit and creditcard so dont have to worry about the foreign fees on either!!

Its a nonsense to think that most people who offer a heavily pregnant woman (or someone else who is visiably in need) a seat and that be called sexist....its common courtesy surely. I've offered my seat to elderly men, mothers and fathers carrying babies/young children.... even offered to little children... does that then mean I'm sexist (and the oppoiste of sexist!) and ageist?!! Ricidulous!!! I wonder if Jo Swinson had walked into the empty room first whether she would have sat or stood?

I really hope that it is not replaced by yet another 'meat market' or 'pound shop'... how many of these does one high street need?!
