  3. > > I think it was the word 'inflict' which may not > have gone down well though I would have to agree > that that's what someone would be doing playing > music in the park. Out of interest .... is it the same if instead of music it was someone/group of people talking really loudly or singing?

  6. Hello All, Planning a friends get together in Dulwich Park, and really want to ensure we have a great day which abides by all the rules. Looked on the Southwark website and didn't see a definitive list of the dos and don'ts for this park... can anyone help me out? Are there any rules/regulations? For example - can we have a bbq? what about music? tables and chairs? Many Thanks OD
  7. Hello I'm looking for someone who can do some work on my worktops. Have had some staining occur due to fitting some splashbacks, the solution used has stained the wood. Can anyone recommend anyone? Thanks, OD
  8. I use briquettes and firelighters. I don't use a chimney, just pile them up in a pyramid and 20-30mins later I'm ready to start cooking!! Definitely need to leave a cool area. Saw a tip recently, if you're cooking fish (not in a basket or cedar plank) you can lay on sliced lemon!! :)
  9. Hello, I used the following notary, who was very efficient and reasonably priced. As per the link above: Mr Christopher Bryan Bernier [email protected] www.bernier-notarypublic.co.uk 07960 301202 07960 301 202 0203 538 1609 24 Landells Road East Dulwich London SE22 9PG
  10. @uncleglen - then what youo have to do it add 'meetings' in your calendar in which you complete your work and your status will be seen as 'busy' to everyone else!! Works for me!!
  11. Which TV?

My suggestion is to go online to the Appliances Online website ao.com They have many video reviews on the different types of TV's, they even explain the technologies. I find the video reviews really informative. AO also have really competitive pricing too!
  14. Hey All, Cant make it this week, but have a poppadom for me!! ODx
  15. Hi, I had my bi-fold patio doors done by Crystal Window, just over a year ago and have had no issues. Price was very competitive; no hard sell... a 6 week turnaround from my first call to full installation (had windows done by them too). A 2 man team worked cleanly throughout the installation. It was a good experience and the doors look great.
  16. I have used the Howdens on East Dulwich, I have found the staff very helpful when answering my queries. I choose the cream high gloss finish which looks lovely and comaprable with my second choice of ikea. I found that when approaching fitters, they didnt much like fitting ikea cupboards (which are bigger than Howdens). I found Howdens extremely expensive for appliances, worktops, handles etc and these can be easily picked up online from other vendors!

  22. Hello All, I'm about to have a new kitchen fitted (kithen chosen/plan drawn up) and whilst I believe that the contractor will do a good job, it doesnt seem like he is used to having a formal agreement/contract in place before the works commence!! I dont see how I could proceed without having more than a few emails as an agreement between us - am I missing something? Am I expecting too much? What happens if things should go wrong?? Does anyone have a basic template or could point me to a useful website where I can create something for this purpose/ Thanks, OD

    EDF Cinema

titch juicy - spot on re 12 years a Slave - I was so moved, some very powerful, hard to watch scenes which had absolutely no brutal violence in them. If people who watched this film saw only a film about abuse - physical and verbal, then IMO they have totally missed the point. As for sighting Roots... sigh.... Hadnt thought about going to see Dallas Buyers Club...will do though!
  24. Sorry I'm defintely out this for the evening, but roll on February!!! Have a good one!! ODx
