Our 7 yr old daughter absolutely loved this single bed, but sadly it doesn’t fit in the house we’re moving to due to sloping ceilings. it is an good condition but has some wear and tear from two years of use. There are a few stickers and pen marks which you can probably remove. The desk slides out From underneath and there is a bookshelf on the end of it. Our daughter loved the space underneath which makes a great den. The fabric above is sadly torn at the top, but our daughter still likes it or you could choose to not have it or get a replacement. £50 or best offer - pick up by Monday please

Yes, it?s a building site hence the need for a plasterer. The intention was not to complete the job but to do 2 days of plastering. Walked out the house without saying anything or giving a quote and also said he walked off a different job yesterday. The mind baffles

Please see my other post re George Pistolea who we have had a terrible experience with. Since posting that I have also heard from 2 other people on the forum who have had similar experiences. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else so beware. Trading standards are investigating him so if you have any information get in touch. -
We used George Pistolea to renovate and extend our house after recommendations on this forum but unfortunately have had a terrible experience. He abandoned our site just after lockdown with no warning (he said he was going to buy materials)and hasn?t returned since. We looked him up in Facebook and he posted himself on a ferry. He has completed less than half of the contracted works and what he has completed was to a poor standard. He?s cut joists, put joists in the wrong way round, put in ?temporary plumbing? which we now see he never intended to complete. His plastering is to a very poor standard and so is his carpentry. He put in ?temporary? plug sockets we now realise because he didn?t want to buy the ones specified. He also told us thieves broke into our property twice and stole his tools, asking us for money to replace them which we now wonder if there was any truth. He failed to progress the work when he was here, he said the whole project would be completed in March before lockdown which we know at the time was unrealistic. When he was on site it was incredibly quiet and the amount of time spent smoking and on his phone was ridiculous. We believe he never intended on completing our job from the beginning and have contacted trading standards. If anyone else has any contact with him please get in touch with us.

Thanks Trudypeel, We have had a very good experience with some estate agents (e.g. Wooster and Stock are excellent), but we had an awful experience with Acorn when a property we were buying fell through just before exchange, and Acorn lied to us about what was going on (they told us the vendor could not be reached to discuss the matter, while actually they were selling the property to someone else). We complained to Acorn, and even a managing director did not seem to think there was anything wrong with this, which seems to suggest that this sort of behaviour is part of the culture at Acorn all the way up to management level. I think the best thing to do is to make people aware of behaviour like this and recommend people to not sell their property through Acorn. There are plenty of other agents who act professionally without having to tolerate this sort of thing.

We are in the process of buying a house and we've found that there is a possibility of land contamination. The report is very vague so we are not sure what to do next. Does anyone have any advice? Would this put you off when buying a house? We are concerned that this may affect resale in the future.

We recently took our Phil and teds to NZ on Singapore air. They were fine with us taking two bags for the buggy as we had the car seat attachment and a travel cot. They didn't weigh the bags as you can take them to the gate so we could even fit a few "extras" in!

There are a couple of vacant shops on Camberwell Church Street near the end of Camberwell Grove, including what used to be Paul's Olive Shop. It would be good to see some nice shops here- Camberwell has gained some nice bars and restaurants recently, but it's not great for shopping. I think the area could easily support a fishmonger, butcher, bottle store, gift stores, cafes, antique/furniture stores etc, but instead we have endless hairdressers, takeaways, and convenience stores. Does anyone know of someone looking to rent who can improve our selection of shops?
