Huggers. I hope your son recovers from that experience. Sorry to read such awful news of crimes happening on the road I live on. -

Pepper spray is illegal?!!?!?WHAT! never knew that. Surely not as illegal as being robbed at knife point. -

This is terrifying. I think having a little can of pepper spray in your hand when walking home late at night is handy. Can anyone give a better description of these three boys/men? Age / height range? -
Will message you my number. My daughter is at a lovely childminder off Melbourne Grove.

Bright Horizon nursery any good?
Ladysaw replied to ukdealguide's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Gosh I dodged a bullet. I really wanted my daughter to get in there last September but she got a fulltime space at a child minder. I remember feeling disappointed at the time but reading these comments I am happy BH was too full to capacity. If anyone is looking for a child minder who in my opinion is absolutely amazing please PM me as she will be available for a full time or part time child soon -
As a parent it must be quite difficult for you and especially her. More importantly as a mother you can make up for that by doing fun and different things with her on those days when the parties are being held

experiences of cargiant please? are they cowboys?
Ladysaw replied to hellosailor's topic in The Lounge
We just purchased our car from car giant in Oct 2013. Here is our experience in point form. 1. The price was extremely fair. 2. Do NOT go with an extremely active Toddler on the day you are purchasing. That can lead to tears. From everyone! It took them 4-5 hours after we decided on the car we wanted and paying in cash the full price for them to finally hand over the keys. 3. The amount of cars offered will overwhelm you so go with something in mind. 4. The sales reps are not there to kid you around. They mean business and they are honest. 5. Don't bother with all the theatre drama buying the extras they offer you after purchasing. 6. The toilets are clean 7. Go with an umbrella if it decides to rain. It's a massive place with some areas unsheltered. 8. I AM AN EXTREMELY HAPPY CUSTOMER! -

automatic driving instructor -- excellent recommendation
Ladysaw replied to Ladysaw's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Yes. I was looking for an instructor. I was on maternity and was returning to work last October and I knew I had to give it my all because I wouldn't have gotten another opportunity with time off. So it was 2-3 weeks between theory and driving test. I had 6 automatic lessons with him in between those 2-3 weeks and I passed with no minors. He's a lovely guy. I drove before in other countries so I had experience but with experience came bad habits. Julian was able to help me back to basics. Yes he does intensive courses too but mine was just a normal course. Sorry for the essay but he's really good x -

sleep trainers/consultants - do they work?
Ladysaw replied to etta166's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Claudine, you made a good point there. Babies always sleep better on their front. I wish I started before 6 months as in my countty they always put their babes on their tummies from day 1. In the uk the midwives scare you to death and make you out to be a bad mother if you do. Obviously I know there is the risk of sids but personally I do not know of anyone encountering such a loss! -
sleep trainers/consultants - do they work?
Ladysaw replied to etta166's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I am also having the same problem with my 13 month old daughter. She has only slept through 20 times since birth. My friends ALWAYS laugh at the fact that we've counted but that's how special a sleep through is for us. I am really nervous returning to work fulltime this thursday. Any information would be useful for us too. -
