  2. While passing the Christmas trees outside the large St.Christopher's on LL, a girl with dustpan and brush sweeping up the needles on the ground. I guess it doesn't inspire confidence.....
  3. I have been with Virgin media for my broadband since they took over NTL. I think that was back in 2004 and with NTL before them. I have a, what they call large package. I pay ?26 per month which I think is a lot but have stayed with them as the service has only gone down half a dozen times in that time. The most recentloss of service was on the 16th-17th November just past. If you ring them and get a confirmation of a fault you can get a reduction on your fee. I was offered ?5 but when I said I wasn't satisfied with that as the loss went into a second day, they offered me ?10. Previously when I was planning to leave them they magiced a discount to ?17 per month for me for 3 months. Funny what they can pull out of the bag for you! I don't suppose any other company would be very different in terms of looking after their long standing customers but one would think to keep a 'valuable customer', as they like to call us, they would discount incrementally over time. My rating to Virgin 6/10
  4. Likewise. I have been registered at DMC since 1994 and have always used the 0208 number and got through directly to the surgery. I have met Dr's Gupta Snr and Jnr on several occasions to boot
  5. He wrote quite a book on the Roman Empire. It was a good read.
  6. I got the impression from the OP that there was something wrong with a semi retired GP who has probably spent the whole of his working life building a sucessful GP practice living in a house valued at ?2M, plus cars etc etc. A 40 odd year career. 2,000,000 divided by 40 = ?50,000 PA. That is peanuts

I would say that a family of doctors who run a medical practice and have worked all their lives and only accrued ?2 million isn't doing very well at all financially. I know a local builder who has 6 large homes in this area, each valued at just under a million. Why should a doctor not be a multi millionaire?
  8. There would have been a good deal of discussion with the Conway site supervisor and the archtect including site visits, I believe. Don't they have eyes and spirit levels and don't they have tongues to report that the land runs uphill. Conway are more than equally responsible for this shambles
  9. These people aren't famous, they're just workaday journalists, actors etc, sheesh. Now, I frequently see Rod Stewart in Rye Lane, that's famous!

Yes, the whole playground is extreemly poorly conceived, with as you say a stream that runs uphill, d'oh. grass planted under the deep shade of the trees where it will inevitably get trodden to mud and die, finally where the sump is for the water return, in an absense of an idea of what to do, gravel is used which children of course love to pick up and throw, which is going to be a problem when cutting the grass that is going to die. Fancy giving the contract to Conway in the first place. What on earth do they know on the subject. Most favoured contractor status indeed. There are excellent, creative and competent landscapers living locally. Fine Conway and reallocate the contract.

Report this crime. These robbers are extreemly dangerous. You were hit on the side of the head with a brick. You could have been left with brain damage or even killed. Report it please.
