  1. Any Linux users? Teaching myself Linux to escape from the abomination that Windows has been progressively turning into. Telemetry everywhere, a horrendous start menu and settings App, a forced Microsoft account, bloatware, cloud and AI features that no one's asking for at all.
  2. A couple of fried eggs and two pieces of toast walk into a bar. Bartender says, "Sorry we don't serve breakfast."
  3. Was shopping in the big Tesco the other day, got to the tills to find all the staff on the manual tills had gone home and that there was only ONE automatic cash machine actually working. Massive queue, each customer was taking over 10 minutes which was extended by individual complaints of clubcard offers not being honoured and the staff blindly telling the customers they were lying and said customers having to prove themselves by walking to the shelves where the offers are clearly displayed. Even more infuriating when one woman hogged the machine for half an hour and paid with card! On the only working cash machine! Told the staff, no apology, he just rolled his eyes and walked off. Absolutely ridiculous.
  4. Can't agree with this, some of them appear totally gormless and can't even look you in the eye or say a word when asked a straightforward question about the membership card at the till. The only cheerful person in there is Tom and he'll proactively talk to anyone about anything. That guy deserves more.
  5. We all know it, no one's asking for AI, no one. It needs smart humans to keep everything up for when things go wrong. Things never go back. One cyberattack and we're fooked.
  6. I dropped my cheese and crackers on the floor the other day. There was da-brie everywhere! Badum-tsssh.
  7. Gasworks for 16 weeks.
  8. Buy a real PC.
  9. It's wheelie bin not that bad tbh. I'll get me coat.
  10. It's been broken in this area for quite some time.
  11. The supermarkets are all guilty of this. The price on the shelf is often NOT what you pay when you get to the tills. That includes clubcard, membership and nectar card offers, EVEN when the offer is before the date of expiry and clearly displayed. The staff play ignorance. Never used to be like this, remember when managers used to roam the store in a suit chatting to customers and the customer was always right? Those days are long gone.
