  1. Where can I buy an egg cup in the area, preferably a cheap one? The pound shops don't sell 'em, the supermarkets don't sell 'em, they seem to be extremely hard to find. How am I supposed to eat my boiled eggs in the morning? In the meantime I have to improvise with an upturned egg box.
  2. Wow, we used to play a version of this as kids in the back garden. Frisbee Breakfast Bowl we called it because you guessed it the frisbee was actually a plasic breakfast bowl! We had teams of doubles defending goals at the ends of the garden, first to 21 based on table tennis scoring, great fun it was!

eastdulwichforum.co.uk doesn't work, you have to add the www.
  4. They're not as bad those combination chain locks you can buy from the pound shop.
  5. Yes I did all that but it didn't make any difference. Anyway after finishing my game all seems back to normal again.
  6. BT seems to be going incredibly slow today as well. Tried resetting the router, new IP address, still slow. What are they doing? Oh well I'll play some games in the meantime, I might even go outside.
  7. There's one in Lidls in Peckham.
  8. I had the fire brigade do mine for me once, fortunately the bicycle was only locked to itself so I carried in to the nearest fire station along with the original documents as proof of ownership and they cut the D-lock off with an industrial cutter.
  9. Why have blueberries got so expensive recently they were half the price 6 months ago ?2 or less for 200 grammes and now ?2.50 for 125 grammes! They're supposed to be a powerfruit good for memory improvement and coordination but I can hardly afford them now. A handful costs more than a whole box of the cereal I put them on! Every time I see them they're from a different country too, Poland, Chile, England, South Africa you name it and they tell us it's a new season. Surely they're always in season if you can get them from all over the world.
  10. Fair enough but I don't like working folk being labelled as the bad guys, I'm still toying with the idea of being a traffic warden but I can't tolerate shift work.
  11. I love it when people get parking fines, just pay up and stop moaning. Our law and order system is crumbling, the value of money is crumbling, everyone wants to argue with the police, no one wants to pay fines, traffic wardens are being assaulted left right and centre. No wonder there's so few police and traffic wardens on the street with so little powers. My tuppenceworth.
  12. Mind games. Watch the film 'Next Door' quite rare but I think there's still a low quality version on youtube. You're the guy having his flowers overwatered by next door's sprinkler.
  13. There does seem to be a high rotation of dogs in the area, do people get bored of them that easily?
  14. Great, another one sending me junk mail that goes straight in the bin.
  15. Outside the Coop Forest Hill Road someone is painting all the bollards with flowers. Sometimes he (and she) paint the same one for days on end. Are they paid by the hour or something?
  16. How come there's been no 400m running track painted down in Peckham Park this year? It's always something I look forward to so I can time myself on the track. Did they skip school sports day this year?
  17. Book shops can hardly survive any more what with cheap books on Amazon and Kindles. So we can look forward to another couple of Pound shops?
  18. They have infinite money, it's created out of thin air in the form of debt.
  19. I go swimming there every few nights and can't complain apart from about the shower temperature.
  20. The theory is that in a capitalist society the rich get richer and the poor stay poor. The poor live from paycheck to paycheck buying "stuff". The rich spend their money only in ways that make them more money which anyone is allowed to try and do, hence you end up with a few billionaires.
  21. This morning I went to the post office on Forest Hill Road to change a ?20 note. The guy says "I'm sorry we're not meant to give change", and I had to ask for the note back. This is the first time I can remember that a post office has refused to give change. He must have been suspicious of forgeries but then again don't they have a counterfeit note detector?
  22. Heard the accident at 05:32 but only saw the aftermath. Cars and lorries are always trundling down there at ridiculous speeds especially at night and early morning when the road is clear. I remember a similar accident a couple of years ago where a speeding car lost control and ended up smashing into the railings by the park gates, the driver got out and disappeared. Can't agree it was safer before the traffic lights were put up, accidents used to happen there all the time on a frequent basis even on quiet sunday afternoons.
