  1. Can't agree with this, some of them appear totally gormless and can't even look you in the eye or say a word when asked a straightforward question about the membership card at the till. The only cheerful person in there is Tom and he'll proactively talk to anyone about anything. That guy deserves more.
  2. We all know it, no one's asking for AI, no one. It needs smart humans to keep everything up for when things go wrong. Things never go back. One cyberattack and we're fooked.
  3. I dropped my cheese and crackers on the floor the other day. There was da-brie everywhere! Badum-tsssh.
  4. Gasworks for 16 weeks.
  5. Buy a real PC.
  6. It's wheelie bin not that bad tbh. I'll get me coat.
  7. It's been broken in this area for quite some time.
  8. The supermarkets are all guilty of this. The price on the shelf is often NOT what you pay when you get to the tills. That includes clubcard, membership and nectar card offers, EVEN when the offer is before the date of expiry and clearly displayed. The staff play ignorance. Never used to be like this, remember when managers used to roam the store in a suit chatting to customers and the customer was always right? Those days are long gone.
  9. Android phone with EE network on a £10/mo sub works fine for my needs ie. WhatsApp, plenty of data, calls and texts. Can't comment on iPhone, Apple don't exist in my world. Security-wise I guess the nightmare is getting your phone nicked while it's in an unlocked state, or another thing they do is surreptitiously video you from a distance typing in the passcode then nick it. Banking on the phone sounds iffy too because the 2FA (2 factor authentication) is the phone itself, yeah right.
  10. When I were a lad there used to be climbing trees all over the place. I used to have multiple places to exercise and do pull ups on low tree branches when I moved here. Those spots have all gone, so bad for mental health. Leave the damn trees alone, they have rights and give us oxygen to boot.
  11. Close it so WE can stay in and be more grumpy? Prefer it to stay open myself. The queues are people collection pensions and the Christmas rush. The post office on Forest Hill Road is the same around now. Also, long live cash.
