I think the Bermondsey cheese is actually welsh and just matured in Bermondsey. There is however a cheese made in Brockley along with the Brockley brewery and another brewery in Peckham.

I drive to Crawley quite often and go through croydon town centre then cut across to purley. If you leave ED before 7am then you should miss the traffic. Leaving at 7.30am will se you stuck in purley, coulsdon, caterham area for a very long time.

I was also there on tuesday for the first time and thought it was excellent. The selection of drinks is one of the best anywhere, great choice of beers and spirits as well as the wines. The food was all delicious - i had the pea and egg dish and could have ordered it over asnd over again. I will be going back frequently

I second Zucca, its almost as good as the River Cafe at a fraction of the price.

The place on Melbourne grove can be good
