  1. I never said that the Weatherspoon pub was the epitome of quality, not saying im broke, just the price of a pint is a bit high in the LL area.
  2. The food is horendous in weatherspoon pubs as a rule, however I have enjoyed a decent stake their once, and demanded a refund for a Sunday Lunch. never had a problem with the drinks though, food wise its cheap and nasty, and I wouldnt recommend it. however the booze is cheap, and with the right crowd you can have a good night.
  3. Its a bit stuffy, you know mothballs and pears soap. some of the people think they are better than others, working class folks making out that they are middle class. on the otherhand there are a few unsavory folks about aswell. Quite an eclectic mix really, just like most places I suppose.
  4. The Land could be better used to serve the community, so to demolish the building would be tragic in the eyes of heritage. but the reality is the property has been neglected for decades and it would be refreshing to see the land put to some good use IMHO. I actually read the Wiki info about that house a few years ago.
  5. So you think ?3.50 a pint is ok do you, I don't. its daylight robbery. I dont mind walking a couple of miles, I just think its a bit of a rippoff. ok maybe a weatherspoon pub isn't going to be the greatest, but the prices are ok and its the company you keep that makes a good night.
  6. I have noticed that to drink a few beers in a Pub in Lordship Lane you need a considerable amount of dosh to get tipsy these days, most of them charge about ?3.50 for a pint, I could get smashed on a tenner a few years ago. atleast weatherspoon pubs are reasonable. I think they are having a laugh, we need a weatherspoon pub in LL.
