Can I give a wholehearted recommendation for John. He came over and sorted out a fairly minor problem with our living room lights and then gave some very helpful advice and came back to fit some LEDs. As a teacher with years of experience, he can actually explain what the problem is, give you options and advice as well as do a good job at a reasonable rate and turns up when he says he will. Can't ask for more than that!

Another endorsement for Niko. The temperature control on our shower was playing up and a previous plumber had suggested we might need to get a whole new shower fitted. Niko came and had a look, advised me that there was no need for a new shower, fiddled with the mechanism and effectively sorted the problem out and saved me a load of money.

Hello! Just spotted this thread. I have baby number 2 arriving, possibly on Christmas Day (extremely bad planning!!) when my son, Luke, will be 2 yrs 3 months. I am now living over in Honor Oak (an ex-East Dulwicher) but would like to meet up if there is anything further planned? Currently still working part time...

Our bathroom door has a tendency to warp in the heat and gets stuck. Now it is not closing properly at all! I suspect it either needs planing down, the hinges fixing or, worse case scenario, a new door putting in. Not a big job, but beyond our limited DIY abilities. Can anyone help? Thanks Martha

I have used Steve a couple of times, always great. Today he came early, fixed the problem in 20 mins (broken on/off switch). No fuss. Highly recommended

One side of our garden fence came down in the high winds the other week. It may need some new fence panels (about 3 or 4 there at the moment) or it might be simply a case of repairing the ones that are there by cementing them in more effectively. I suspect it is a day's job for someone who knows what they are doing. We are in East Dulwich, not far from the station. Any recommendations?

We want to move our dishwasher from the kitchen to our outside porch/shed (just outside kitchen door) so that we have more space in the kitchen and can fit a full size dishwasher outside. There is water and electricity in the out house but no electric plug. Can anyone help with this? Do I need a plumber, an electrician or both?! Is the whole idea insane and going to cost masses?

I can also endorse the recommendation for Andy - reasonable and professional and a pleasure to have in the house. He did the work on a Sunday and even though it proved more of pain than originally thought, he stuck to the quote and came back on Thursday to finish the job.

I have recently had various jobs done by Andy who posts on here as spoiltdog or can be contacted on 07564194363. We needed a cat flap fitting, heavy mirror hung, a table fixed and some cupboard door hinges sorted out. He came on Friday and quoted for the job and then did the work on Sunday. The car flap proved a bit of a pain (not east because the screws they provided weren't right) and Andy came back the following Thursday with the right bits to finish the job. Despite the extra time, he stuck to the original quote. He was polite, tidy and a pleasure to have in the house - a big hit with my 3 month old son! Highly recommended.
