  1. Depends on your definition of "poor", which is something this country does not understand. If you have NO money, then no, you are not fat by definition because you cannot afford meals in any sort of regularity to define having a diet. If you are fed by the state via benefits, then you have a guaranteed income to do with as you wish. Then you are into the realms of crap food, take-aways, access, education, and our personal favourite in my line of work - whether you actually give a fuck. You CAN find decent veg, meat etc and learn to cook for very little money. You can find time for personal fitness and wellbeing. Hell, I did. I earn just under 45K a year, and come across "the disadvantaged" on the same via state benefits only every single day. Its a lifestlyle choice.
  2. Well, I would imagine there are lots of serving and ex-service people who are immensely proud of their flag. I know I am so I must be in a housing estate bully gang.
  3. For a slightly different perspective - try this... http://anarchistsoccermom.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/thinking-unthinkable.html

  5. Tech-blog The Kernel broke the story this afternoon and the entire dossier is still online. David Cameron welcomed Bozier to the Tories when he defected from Labour in January of this year. He even quoted the former Blair staffer?s statement during PMQs. He was the (now) former business partner to Louise Mensch who has reported him to Plod and apparantly his wife has already left him since yesterday. Oh dear... http://www.kernelmag.com/features/report/3736/menshn-co-founder-embroiled-in-sex-scandal/ The reoport of the hack (NSFW) -: http://www.lukebozier.co.uk/
  6. I was going to suggest either a stray dog or a fox but shall bow to E-dealer's scatological prowess.
  7. Have a read of this about the Stream BookSense and let me know your thoughts. It has a speaking clock built in already. http://www.rnib.org.uk/livingwithsightloss/travelandshopping/audioentertainment/Pages/mp3players.aspx#H2Heading10 I am in that part of town on Friday so can get one if the RNIB have one in stock. I'll give them a call tomorrow. TB

  13. I wish everyone would stop criticising Jimmy Savile. When I was 8, he fixed it for me to milk a cow blindfolded.
  14. I have a prime New York frontage property for sale, currently located in Canada. Mind you, if Sandy was about to hit Europe, we'd be starting to plan a summit to set the legislative basis to design a framework for buying a lifeboat. I'm sorry for these terrible jokes, I know they blow. Tip your waitresses. TB
  15. It seems to me that Christmas gets earlier and earlier every year. I've just seen that there are already trees in the shops in New York. Ithankyou. TB.
  16. "he looks either Romanian or Kosovan" But not Croatian, Bosnian, Serbian, Macedonian, Hungarian or Bulgarian? We need to be exact here. It's like reading the Famous Five again, where Swarthy-looking types should be hauled off for apparent execution to the tremendous glee of the children.
  17. But a license will not stop a dog attacking a cat? A license will not stop a dog attacking another dog? A warden will not intervene in a dog fight. Surely the best idea is to muzzle. A dog can run free off the lead, it does not affect sight or hearing dogs, and stops these attacks overnight. This is from a guy who wants a dog when he has more time to look after it, and more space than I have right now. I fully agree with licensing, and wish it was brought back but the irresponsible don't care about licensing anyway. The Dangerous Dogs Act has had no impact whatsoever to those who don't care.
  18. ER and Band of Brothers for me. Love em.
  19. Hello, first time poster and but been lurking for a bit. There are two similar threads about dog attacks http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,964844 Surely it is not beyond the wit of those we elect to just say all dogs out in public must be muzzled? Or am I missing something?
