Nursery recommendations around Dulwich
chumasterp replied to chumasterp's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi pkuma, Thank you, that looks lovely. Will be in touch via the website. -
Hi all, Haven't been on here in ages, but am looking at moving back to ED, now with a family in tow, and remembered this friendly forum. The oldest is now 16 months and we're looking for a reliable nursery for three days a week. Does anyone have any recommendations? *I've just noticed there's a family section of the forum where this would probably sit better - can someone with the power to please move this post there? Sorry!*

Sorry Mockney, I might have caused some confusion - the council's not CPOing the concrete house, it's saving one in Kennington Park Road. I was just looking for anyone who is still trying to save the LL house and wondering if anyone thought this might be a bit unfair.

I've just heard that Southwark council have compulsory purchased a grade II listed building in Kennington Park Road to stop it falling into disrepair and I was wondering if anything came of the above discussions to get a campaign together to save the LL concrete house. Does anyone know? Tom, SLP

I saw him last Saturday and it was incredible. He tore the place up. His entire band are amazing but he completely dominates the show. He was charismatic, funny and just plain funky. You will have a brilliant night MFG I guarantee. -
Gave it a mention in the South London Press today, page 17. Tom

A fine description of the match Mockney, I thought everyone played excellently and properly in the spirit of local cricket. It was actually closer than you thought though - there were only 27 runs in it at the end. Thanks forumites, a great day all round. Tom

I hope it's not part of a gang of young oinks! Sorry! (By the way George - check your PMs)

I love that site Mockney! Here's a site I can't read at work because it makes me laugh too much at my desk: http://www.framleyexaminer.com/

Oglandia's right, according to the police it's where the new home secretary's living.

Time and distance are the two big factors in libel cases. The Sun's publication can be seen as fleeting, so when the chap comes up for trial (say in six months at the least), if the defence lawyers claim reports have prejudiced the trial the Sun can argue that enough time has passed for the jury not to be able to remember the story. There are precedents now for judges to allow as little as three months between such stories and trials. Problems can arise when papers forget to take stories off their websites. -
I thought I saw the sun just now but it turned out to be a crow. What colour am I looking for again? Oooh, there it is! Sorry, false alarm again - it was a helicpoter. I'm not awfully good at this...

I originate from Dorking in Surrey where they have put up the following monstrosity on a roundabout into town: http://www.locomotive.com/enormous_cock/index.html My advice is to consider double entendre carefully before deciding what to erect (sorry!).

That's an impressive time mightyroar! 10km was six (seemingly never-ending) laps, so I guess that makes one lap = one and two-thirds kilometres.
-
I stumbled across the line after an hour and two minutes (and two very brief pauses to deal with all the blood draining out of my feet). I could barely crawl the few hundred yards to The Crown and Greyhound after that. As I staggered round the course I did keep my eyes open for supportive forumites, but then I realised I would have no idea what they looked like. Shouldn't there be some kind of sign, like a rolled up trouser leg or something?
-
I think everyone's meeting at 10am for a 10.30am start, so I should be crawling across the line at about sunset.
-
If I get round within 24 hours I'll be happy! All smiles and waves will be much appreciated - if you see a flagging man with a ridiculous beard and glasses looking like he's going to throw up that's probably me. Are you running MadWorld74?
-
I'm running on Saturday. I've been training but 10km still seems like a very long way...
