  7. Hi Everyone, @donatella thank you for all suggestions; I managed at the end to join jelly bellies on Sunday and did my first class. It was good, I really enjoy Pilates, shame I stopped doing it 2 years ago, it would be so much easier now. Glad FB group has been created. I looked into Clapham group you suggested and may join as well, I may give myself couple of weeks to get used to exercises again before I join. In the meantime, planning to check this Aqua class in local gym. It's only 4.50 if you are not a member, so if any of you would like to join me, please feel free to drop me a message. Best wishes, Ola

  9. Hello Everyone! I'm Ola and I'm due on 25th Feb with our first baby. We are both excited and bit scared and to be honest still adjusting in this new role of mum to be. We live in East Dulwich and I would love to join you all in September for a meet up. in the meantime I was wondering if any of you are doing any preg fit classes locally? I need to keep my weight in bay, I'm bit on the heavier side, so following doctors orders. I'm planning to do Aquarobics in our local gym. I saw few pregnant ladies there in the past. If any of you would like to join, let me know. It would be lovely to have a buddy on fit preg journey. I look forward to Sept and meeting you all! Ola x
  10. I'm not sure how they calculated it; we are paying ?50 pm in total; I called them few times during these couple of days and said it affects my ability to work from home in the evenings. As I a result I spent more than 10h at work on Tuesday, which was the fact on this occasion. I really don't like to complain and I don't call them often, but the speed of the connection is real issue for us, so they had record of it on my account; maybe they just wanted to close my claim as quick as possible.
  11. Yeey back online! I don't know about you, but we have been credited ?15 towards the next bill. I don't think it will cover the data charge on my phone for the last two days! I've been with Virgin for the last 8 years and I cannot complain about their CS but during last couple of last years broadband services were very bad. I have been reviewing other providers as I'm truly fed up with Virgin. I'm considering switching to Sky. Anyone reading this post and living on the border of grove vale and Coplestone RD and subscribed to Sky- how is it? Are you happy with the speed of connection? How often do you face problems? Maybe you were with virgin first and then switched? Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks.
  12. Spoke with them as well this evening and was told that they still have not found the location of the fault. They said it's unlikely to be resolved by tomorrow 9am.
  13. We are on the corner with Coplestone Rd; I called them twice this evening and they said 20.30 then just around midnight. We have ongoing problems with Internet access for the last two years. It's on and off and if I need to work from home I often had to rely on the nearby cafe than my own house. Hopefully things are working fine tomorrow.
  14. I have the same problem. No internet and TV is loosing the signal often as well. Spoke with virgin and it may be solved by midnight. I'm fed up with them and complaint. they said everyone affected should call and report the faults. Technical team no 08000524570
  15. I am more of the fan of physio and ESPH on Lordship Lane is excellent, they put me back on my feet plenty times over last years.
  16. I really liked the old station, it was charming and full of character; I still wouldnt mind the new station, if at least the trains were on time. I cannot recall my 8.04 train being on time in the last 6 months and Thameslink could not care less.
  17. You definitely need to get in touch with pest control, washing and constant cleaning does not solve the problem. K&O was recommended here on the forum many times, and it seems as they always get very positive feedback. I used to have bedbugs in one of the previous properties. I could not believe once I was told its bedbugs, I end up in hospital with really bad alergic reaction to the bites. It was awful time and despite cleaning and washing, using bleech, detol and all possible cleaning products I failed. It took me a while to find their nests - in my case it was a audio speaker and small gaps between carpet and skirting boards, nothing on the mattress though. The pest control usually will offer you 3 visits and will fumigate the property - thats the only way to go in my opinion. Good luck! And act fast on it.
  18. Thanks Loz, I used to work for Loewe in the past. Beautiful TVs but still ongoing many changes. Our product specialists were recommending humax and roku, but still can't see much difference in all of them. Thanks for insight. I will keep researching.
  19. Thank you Fizzmoll, Would you mind if I ask what is an approximate monthly cost with BT Internet. I was quoted ?35 for Internet only with 100Mb as an existing 8 years service customer, I was considering switching contact to my partner and gaining a benefits of being a new customer again. I know cheeky, but it's big savings long run. Thanks.
  20. Dear All, I'm looking for an advice. I'm currently with Virgin media M size package ?50 (broadband, TV, phone). We don't use landline at all, watch TV on the catch up basis and Netflix etc. I would like to switch to Internet and Apple TV and possibly pay for the few apps to be entertained. We have smart TV with free view, so I guess there is a choice of channels to watch. I've just started searching this subject and it's quite confusing. Could you possibly please advise on the following: 1. What is the best Internet provider option in the area considering we don't have BT phone line. Our house is wired by some ancient company which BT does not recognise. I would like to avoid ?150 installation cost. 2. If you are already done it, can you recommend some PVRs, please? It does not have to be Apple TV It's appealing as it's cheap and it's got now TV. Thank you in advance for all tips. Best wishes!

    Mice problem

Cleaning the whole house with addition of peppermint oil, definitely cleared my airways, but somehow I stopped believing that it may keep mice away. The idea of accidentally poisoning someone pet, put me away from using a poison, however I will stick with old fashion snap traps. I cannot allow this to spread any further and I agree with most of you, it needs to be controlled. Thanks Adonirum for a tip with a Mars bar, will try it and hopefully no more mice in my bed!!!

    Mice problem

I haven't thought about neighbours' cats and dogs, you may be right. I really don't have intention to harm any animals, but once to comes to mice, it's my biggest fear. I rather if they just stay away from my home. Last night "intruder" was lucky as got caught and set free, hopefully its not going to find its way back. I bought some Peppermint Oil and going to wash everything around with it; apparently it works as a repellent. I trully hope it's one off episode.

    Mice problem

I was wondering if any of you had a mice problem recently? I live in a garden flat in Victorian conversion, we used to have a mice problem few years ago but with a help of my landlady it was resolved very quickly. The flat is very clean, food stored in the containers, so really nothing to attract them as such. As I am terrified of those little creatures I have been always trying to keep on the top of it and checking underneath the kitchen cupboards, leaving mice poison, etc. Yesterday night I saw one in the living room, then again in our bedroom. It kept me up all night, scratching, climbing the curtain and eventually getting on our bed. My partner obviously fast asleep ignored the problem, resulting in me sitting on the chair and watching him sleeping, until I have noticed a tail sticking out from underneath his pillow. Absolutely disgusting as for my liking!!! Mouse got caught and frown away. As it has been only one episode since we had a problem few years ago, I am wondering if it is any worth to try to tackle the problem ourselves or just go through pest control straight away?
  24. I am sorry to see them go. I only shopped there once a week to get some delicious treats or gorgeous ham; in fact it was expensive shop, however often I was offered free second loaf of bread when I was buying one. I have never experienced any rudeness from the staff. I found them quite cheerful often singing along to some funky tunes in the shop. I will definitely miss them!
