I currently have a view of speeding 63 buses and my garden. Go on, please?
  3. Residents of Marmora Road have received emails from Danny Hathaway (from Harriet Harman's office) and Gavin Edwards Councillor for Peckham Rye (With Victoria Mills and Renata Hamvas)today in response to our calls and emails. Several people have also been phoned. A meeting is being planned for some point next week - I'll be surprised if this actually happens. But the bus drivers ARE slowing down (after a campaign of speed awareness signs made by residents).
  4. Agreed. I've had to jump those lights twice now. Hate doing it, makes me feel sick.

This is why I love living in ED :-) Exactly - it's a community trying to find an alternative because we a) don't want our cars scratched to pieces, and b) would rather the fronts of our houses and flats weren't damaged. Obviously we'd like the main road and safety to be improved. We'd also like to be able to objet to buses coming down a narrow, unstable road and for our concerns to be taken seriously.

  8. I emailed several days ago and received a letter from Harman's office which said: - they're raising concerns with Southwark council; - they're asking ward councillers to meet with local residents to discuss; - they're asking TFL for a report on the assessment they've made about alternative routes. No word from Barrie Hargrove yet.
  9. I think we're getting another free one through our doors soon...
  10. Well, I'm worried about it - the last time buses were diverted along Marmora the fronts of the houses were badly damaged from the vibrations of the buses on the road. I really would rather not have to deal with the time and expense to deal with this if we can find an alternative.

Really don't know what to do - Renokil are hopeless.
  12. It was a cyclist - who was hit by a car turning onto LL and was trapped under it. I was there; was horrible. Would love to hear that the cyclist is okay if anybody knows.
