  1. Thanks Rendel. I'm going to put a tenner on it. rendelharris Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Current odds Murray 9/4, Konta 16/1, 36/1 > combined, quite tempting...
  2. Turtle, what about a Konta Murray double for Wimbledon. Worth a tenner I reckon. Leicester odds possibilities!

  4. This thread has minded me of my childhood in the woods in Scotland. Getting caught short and having to wipe my backside with a doc leaf. Anybody else do that?
  5. Do you have one of those new bike hangers nearby? This from Penge Tourist Board FB page..
  6. That's ace AM. That would be a great trip to be on... Will settle for early KO's here - wonder if any hostelries will be opening up with a breakfast and pint deal. The Mag some years ago was great fun getting in early and having a few pints before noon. Weird walking down LL at that time half jaked! 7. Hope you get some dining companions. I hear good things about it Capt.
  8. I accidentally stood on a snail this morning. I think I left him feeling crushed and devalued.

  10. I'm headed to Twickenham later. Hopes high for a first win there since 83. Tight but doable. An Ireland win last night would have served us better. That was a bruising encounter. M'oan Scotland. INTAE THUM, INTAE THUM.

    Typical

Had quite a hairy time there several years ago. Fortunately met a rather sturdy scaffolder from Aberdeen who took me under his wing. It was fairly early on a Saturday morning, when it was my want to go boozing when pubs opened back then...
  12. Having started my London life working on Rye Lane in 2004 I find it very sad to see them being squeezed out like this. Was always part of the fabric of Rye Lane in my limited years of living down these parts.
  13. for what bob, for what....you keep us hanging every time....even just a morsel will do to sate the burning curiosity...just throw us a bone. A small bone will do...

  16. That bit in the warm summer months is lovely MM. Sitting out under the trees...
  17. Twickenham for me a week on Saturday. I'm hoping for a win, not achieved there since 1983. M'oan the Scots - and Murray for The French! Help-Ma-Boab Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 2017: Scotland's year. Tennis and rugby.
  18. Loz, maybe you need some kind of "on board" announcement to remind you what day it is. You know the kind of thing they have on trains so you don't forget your brolly?.....oh, hang on a mo... 20. Loved this from a few years ago. Randomly popped up on YouTube. Couldn't find he Valenties thread so thought I'd post it here. A lovely wee short clip and filmed in Peckham Rye Park...
  21. People, especially those in small cars who will wait and only use the petrol pump that is on the side of their car that the petrol cap is on. THE HOSE IS LONG ENOUGH TO REACH OVER AND WE CAN ALL GO ABOUT OUR DAY A LITTLE QUICKEr. *see also those that don't drive to the empty pump nearest the kiosk when it's free. Just stop at 1st one. Idiots.
  22. 4.85. Would never have found it without the instructions above. Why make it so hard to find.
  23. I'd advise eating as well. At least 3 times per day. You have probably thought of that but just wanted to put it out there.
